She squinted at her before sighing, crossing her arms. "Fine. Fine. But if you want to get rid of him, you can't bring him back to this shelter."
Callie turned back to Mars, a soft sigh escaping her lips. "Alright.. No need to be a *squee!*, but please just be good for a minute while we take you home. Please be good." She paused before reaching into her purse and pulling out trail mix. She took a handful and set it barely inside the cage cautiously.
The dog whined, his eyes darting between the woman and Callie nervously. His tail was between his legs and his hackles were raised as he backed up.
"I have had to put up with enough of you today," she said, standing up. "And part of me thinks you would rather kill this dog because of how much it hates you than let me sit with him for a moment."
"I'm not going to break the rules so that some little 'Shiba Inu Whisperer' can have a conversation!"
"You don't even want us to bring this dog back! What do you want? Money? You don't deserve any for how you've been treating this situation, but fine. Take as much as you want."
