She crossed her arms, her brows raised as she looked just as stubborn. "How rude! No peanuts for you!"
He gave her an amused look, kissing her cheek. "I don't know what to do," he said, considering the dog. "Maybe we just put the leash on him? Or a loose muzzle just so he can't bite us until he trusts us?" He hesitated, rubbing the back of his neck. "I don't like the idea..."
He tossed a few of the peanuts across the floor to Mars, awaiting his reaction. Again, the dog dipped his head and began to quietly eat the peanuts, keeping his eyes on the two.
