"That makes sense."
"Damn straight. My children have a religion named after me."
"Is that so?"
He hesitated before continuing. "Uh huh. Arlo...ism."
"And what does Arloism believe in?"
He hesitated, fixing his glasses nervously. "Uh... me."
"It believes in you?" She grinned. "That's supportive."
"Yes, well, I can't help it if I'm a deity."
She kissed his cheek. "I'm in love with a god."
He flushed slightly and straightened his glasses. “Well. Well. I wouldn’t go that far...”
"It's too late," she teased. "I'm in love."
“Uh... I hate to disappoint, but I’m just a regular guy, Cal.”
She shook her head. "You're an amazing guy. I still love you."
He flushed lightly, taking off his glasses to clean them. “Eh... I love you too.”
She squeezed his hand. "Do we need to pick up dog food?"
“Yes! We do. Although I’m not sure what Nugget’s like in the car.”
"We'll have to find out then, huh?"
“Yeah... do you want to drive?”
She nodded. "Yeah, I'll drive."
