"Okay," she replied, "if you say so."
"Trust me. I'm a magic man with dogs."
"Are you now? Previous proud cat owner?"
"I was not the cat lover in that relationship!"
"Proud cat owner?"
"No! I don't like cats very much. Plus, you're the one who had two of them."
She pursed her lips. "Have you seen Nacho? He's so fat and adorable, I had to have him, okay?"
"Spoken like a true cat lover."
"I like dogs more, though!"
"Hmph. Evidently."
"I'm serious!"
"It's okay. Nugget and I both understand."
She frowned. "Let's just set this up while I go draw a bath for Nugget."
“Does he need bubbles? Do dogs like bubble baths?”
She pursed her lips. "Do you have bubbles?"
He was quiet for a moment. “...no...”
She laughed. "Let's use the bubbles!"
His frown deepened. “I said I didn’t have any!”
"Are you sure?"
