"Please. I'm the one who asked you to move in. The least I could do would be to help you with it." * * * She chuckled, although it was loving. "Everything's okay, Landon. I'm here."
He groaned. “Fine. Then I’m skipping work today.” *** She kissed his head before grabbing their food, returning soon after.
She frowned. "No, you have to go to work. I'll wait for you before moving stuff." *** He watched her thoughtfully, his eyes warm. "I love you."
She crossed her arms. "Whatever. I'm gonna go make your coffee." *** He offered his hand. "Thank you."
He gave her a small smile before heading to the drawer to get a change of clothes. * * * "You can't say thank you without having a reason for it. That defeats the purpose."
She went to the kitchen, going to make him a cup of coffee. *** "Alright.." He looked around. "Thank you for not dying and bringing me the food."
He emerged from the bedroom about ten minutes later, wearing clean close and pushing his hair back. * * * "Better," she allowed with a smirk, kissing the back of his hand. "You're welcome."
Callie looked up at him, holding a coffee that was his. "You look nice." *** He nodded, satisfied. "Wonderful."
