She nodded before sitting up, reaching for her bag. "I gotta type some stuff. That okay?" * * * "You're aching. Trust me."
She leaned against him playfully, brushing her fingers through his hair. "You're sweet. Are you tired?" * * * "I'm your boyfriend."
She opened her laptop, her free hand brushing through his hair. "Well, I'm going to be pretty boring for a while." * * * He beamed before taking her arms with gentle hands. "Tell me where it hurts."
"Good," she said quietly, beginning to type. "We're a perfect pair." * * * He looked up with a raised brow before giving her a smile. "You're blushing."
"Mm. Sleep, Landon. I'm going to be a while." * * * "You definitely are," he said, beginning to gently rub out the tension in her arms. "You're blushing."
Val paused in her typing, her fingers hovering over the keyboard. She looked down at Landon for a moment before gently sliding off the couch and draping a blanket over him. She headed to the dining room table and pulled out a chair, opening her laptop again and beginning to type. * * * "It's cute, if it's any consolation. It means you like me."
Landon's eyes fluttered, and he sat up. *** "Right. I don't blush, even if there is a very cute thing."
