She visibly relaxed, sitting up. "It's really nice to see you." * * * "With a pattern like that, why wouldn't I?"
"I was hungry, and I assumed you were too. Sorry I didn't ask if you like it or not.." *** "Yep. A total genius. Not sure how I didn't see it before."
"No, it's just..," She frowned, rubbing his arm. "You must be tired." * * * "You didn't recognize my genius before this moment?"
"Poor baby," Val said playfully, kissing his cheek. "Thank you for doing that." * * * "This is the very definition of my genius."
She grinned, sliding into his lap and pulling the blanket around them. "You chose well." * * * He hesitated. "Not that good."
"Okay," she said, giving him a quick kiss before standing up and heading to the counter. "What would you like?" * * * "I am in theory."
"I'm pacing myself," she said playfully. "If I want to go back for tenths, it's necessary." * * * He laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. "You're too kind."
"I'm a woman of extremes." * ** He sighed, standing up. "Well, I don't know about you, but I'm hungry. Want to come buy food with me?"
