“Great,” she said sharply, opening the door and trying to get out, hindered by her seat belt. “Thanks for the ride.” *** “...hours.”
She looked down at the buckle for a moment, seemingly confused, before she stumbled out of the seat. *** “Min...utes?”
She looked up to the apartment building, and her face seemed genuinely troubled, if not a little foggy. “Landon, what floor are we on?” *** “Hours. Got it.”
“No, I’m okay,” she insisted, starting towards the door unsteadily. “I just... can’t seem to remember.”
She frowned, putting her hand to her head. “I’m... whoa. Everything is really weird right now.” *** “Moons?”
She took a long time at the stairs, staring at each step fixedly before deciding to move. When they finally got to the top, she frowned. “Which... which one is ours?”
She pushed open the door, yawning slightly. “Are you coming in?” *** He beamed and kissed her cheek. “Lovely! Thank you.”
