She flinched, shaking her head as they approached her door. "Stop." * * * "So, we're agreed, then. No killing."
Val sighed, opening the door and pulling him in. "Go to your room, okay? You can sleep there." * * * "Wow. Truly the perfect couple."
She squinted at him, crossing her arms. "We're not dating anymore, Landon." * * * "We must be in at least one record book."
She looked at him and suddenly felt terribly tired. "Ugh. God. Fine, okay. Fine. Just... go get into bed." * * * "Definitely two."
She sighed, tying her hair back before joining him in his room. She closed the door behind her as she entered and slipped into bed next to him, turning away from him instinctively. * ** "Why not a million?"
Her small frame tensed when he touched her and she closed her eyes, ignoring the small trickle of tears that fell past her lashes. * * * "600 and 5."
She put her face in her hands, her shoulders shaking as she cried before she pulled away and cleared her throat, pressing a small kiss to his forehead before slipping out of the bed. * * * "Sure. Why not?"
There was a small glass by his bed of water with a few white pills next to it. A sticky note sat under it. One arrow pointed to the pills and read in Val's thin handwriting 'EAT ME' and the other arrow pointed to the water. 'DRINK ME'. Val was nowhere to be seen. * * * "Of course. We're soulmates."
He frowned, picking up the pills and taking one before having a sip of water. "I need to stop waking up here.." *** "That's true."
He sighed, standing up shakily. Assuming she wouldn't be there, he made the bed and headed for the door. *** "Like bedazzle a collar?"
