“Because you said kissing was dangerous.” *** He came back in several minutes later, his gaze flickering to her. He smiled slightly, leaning over and kissing her forehead.
"Only when you're not watching the road!" *** She shifted, opening her eyes to look at him. "Are you leaving now?"
“I love kissing you.” *** There was the sound of the coffee being made in the kitchen, but a few minutes later, the front door closed and there was only silence.
She glared at him before pulling over suddenly and turning to him. “Slow enough?” *** Arlo entered later that night, looking obviously tired.
She was stiff, not hugging him back. *** A terrible sense of dread filled his veins and he was quiet for a moment, setting his keys gently on the counter. “...Cal?”
He hesitated. "Val?" *** It was quiet for a moment, and he would hear stuff falling onto the floor. "Just a minute!"
“This is dangerous.” *** His heart pounded and he headed towards the room, his brow furrowed as he slowly opened the door.
She was desperately trying to hide mac and cheese boxes, looking up at him with furrowed brows. "I said a minute!"
