"Look," she murmured, pointing to a nearly invisible line on the walls. It seemed to form a vague archway. * * * Arlo shook his head. "Eleanor, that's inappropriate."
She peered at it before hesitating. "Landon, could you please get a picture of it? I don't want to mess with it until then."
"Alright," she said hesitantly, stepping forward. She paused before lightly reaching to run her fingers along the wall. There was a buzzing sound as something scanned her hand and then the sound of a zap came from the door and Val cried out, stepping back and holding her hand to her chest.
He hands enclosed around her shoulders instinctively. "Are you okay?!" He kept his voice low, but it was still worried.
Her shoulders were trembling and she cursed. "Gah. Yeah. Yeah. I think I'm okay." She turned to look back at him and was a little startled by their proximity. "Thanks..."
There came a noise from the front of the house and Val frowned. "We should hide; see if we can figure out how they get in."
