She grinned, her head tilted. "Lovely." *** "You're so sweet," he told her. *** He shook his head slightly. "I don't want you to get into a fight." *** She hesitated, briefly looking him up and down. "You're cute."
He gave her a boyish smile. "I love you." * * * She blinked in surprise, looking down at him thoughtfully before leaning down and kissing his cheek. "I think you're pretty wonderful yourself," she told him, smiling at him earnestly. * * * She huffed, considering him hesitantly before kissing him gently, her hand tentatively resting on the side of his jaw. * * * His shirt wasn't completely buttoned and his hair was still disheveled but he gave her a small grin. "Me? What did I do?"
She kissed his nose. "I love you too." *** He flushed, grinning at her. "Thanks." *** He kissed her back, letting himself relax as he ran his fingers through her hair. *** She took a breath. "You didn't have to do anything," she mumbled, reaching up and fidgeting with one of his buttons.
His grin widened as he watched her, slipping his arms around her waist. "I might go talk to Emerson." * * * She gave him her bright smile, cupping his jaw gently before standing up, heading back over to the stove to cook. * * * She shuddered slightly at his action, her nose brushing his as she pulled away slightly. Her gaze flickered up to his and she was silent for a moment, watching him with wide eyes. * * * He tilted his head, catching her hand in his and kissing the back of it. "What's going on?" he asked almost teasingly, raising one eyebrow.
She tilted her head. "Right now?" *** He observed her thoughtfully, standing up and joining her. *** He seemed confused. "Was that not okay?" *** She squinted at him, saying nothing.
"I don't want to be away from you for too much longer." * * * She looked over at him, stirring the porridge in a pot on the stove. * * * "No, that was..." She laughed slightly, cupping his jaw. "I just think you're so lovely." * * * He raised an eyebrow, looking a little confused. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah.. I don't want that either." *** He wrapped his arms around her affectionately. *** He still seemed somewhat confused "You do?" *** She hesitated, pursing her lips. "I think you're really attractive."
"So we should go talk to him." * * * She laughed, reaching up and tousling his hair while kissing his temple. "Hi, there." * ** She gave him a sheepish smile. "Yeah. I really like you." * * * He laughed, ducking his head as a flush crossed over his nose. "Ah. You're... thank you."
She nodded. "Yeah. We should." *** He leaned into her touch. "Hello." *** He flushed, grinning at her. "I.. really like you too." *** She reached up and kissed him, her hand resting on his jaw.
He squeezed her hand before heading back to the Clan. * * * She looked up at him, leaning back against him. "Are you doing okay?" * * * She paused, considering him with a slight smile, her hazel eyes soft as she watched him. "Thank you for lighting the fire." * * * He kissed her back, his hands on her waist.
She kept beside him, her hand in his. *** He tilted his head. "Of course. I'm with you." *** He grinned at her. "You're welcome." *** She blushed again, pulling away after a moment and observing him thoughtfully.
She flushed, looking up at him thoughtfully. "Hush. No distracting me." * * * She hesitated before kissing him again, softer this time. * * * He gave her a small grin, raising one eyebrow. "Well?"
He chuckled. "Sorry." *** He sighed, his touch gentle and sweet. *** She tilted her head slightly, watching his mouth. "It's a shame you have to go."
She rolled her eyes, leaning back against him as she stirred the porridge. * * * The kiss deepened momentarily and her hand came up to cup his jaw. * * * He tilted his head thoughtfully. "Is it?"
He was quiet, watching her work. *** He pulled away after a moment, watching her. "I.. I love you." *** "In my opinion."
She paused before looking over at him. "Do you want sweet or savory?" * * * She looked at him with wide eyes, obviously surprised and panicked. "I beg your pardon?" * * * "What else would we do? We'd just be sleeping."
He grinned. "Sweet please." *** He paused before pulling away. "I.. I'm sorry." *** She looked confused. "Sleep...? No. No, not sleep."
She nodded before going over to the icebox, pulling out some fruit. * * * She blinked, watching him quietly, her brows furrowed nervously as she folded her hands in her lap. "You don't need to be sorry." * * * He raised an eyebrow, tilting his head curiously.
He went and sat down with a yawn. *** He frowned. "I feel like I should be." *** She pursed her lips, leaning back. "Nevermind."
After a few minutes, she brought him over a sweet cinnamon and apple porridge, setting it down in front of him. * * * She cleared her throat, frowning at him worriedly. "I don't... I don't think you love me, Dion..." she said gently. "You barely know me." * * * He frowned, brushing his fingers through her hair gently. "Okay. I'm sorry."
