He looked up at her playfully. "Are you sure?" *** He flushed slightly, running a hand through her hair. *** She looked at him thoughtfully, her eyes warm. "Yes?" *** She laughed, holding onto him. "I don't care!"
"Of course I am," she replied, starting to head back. "It's the least I could do." * * * "God, I missed this," she murmured in between kisses, her hand cupping his jaw. "I missed you." * * * He leaned in close before speaking. "You're so weird." * * * "You should! My head might EXPLODE or something!"
"Good. I do like spending time with you." *** He took her hand slowly. "I miss you too." *** She blinked, pausing before putting a hand over his mouth and pushing him away playfully. "No kisses for you." *** "I would never allow that."
"Glad to hear it," she replied smoothly. "It's a relief." * * * She trailed off, kissing a line along his jaw gently. * * * He gasped playfully, pulling her closer to him. "No, please!" * * * "How would you stop it?"
He nodded, leaning back. *** He sighed, closing his eyes momentarily. "I love you, Aisling." *** She grinned. "You have to apologize!" *** "By making you realize that if your head explodes I'll be really sad."
She wheeled him to his room and looked down at him. "Can you get back into bed?" * * * There was a silence on her end before she responded, her voice low. "I love you too," she said quietly, kissing his neck. * * * "Fine. I guess we'll never kiss again." * * * "That only inflates my ego!"
He nodded thoughtfully, carefully switching before reaching for her. *** "Can things be normal again..?" *** She gasped. "I take it back." *** "Emerson, I'll be so sad."
She looked down at him in confusion, coming over to him. "You okay?" * * * She hesitated for a moment, looking up at him before relenting. "Yeah, Di. They can be normal again." * * * "Nope!" he said, sitting up. "It's a shame too. I really wanted to kiss you." * * * He clutched at his head playfully. "No!"
"I'm okay," he reassured, taking her hands. "Thank you for helping me." He kissed her cheek, leaving a black mark on his lips. *** He looked relieved. "That's.. That's so nice to hear. Really." *** "Ellis, please!" *** She gasped before hugging him fiercely.
She laughed lightly, wiping the soot away with her thumb. "You have black lipstick." * * * She laughed slightly, but she sounded really, really tired. "I wish I understood you more." * * * "See you later, I guess." * * * He laughed, kissing her again. "You saved me. You godsend."
He tried to look down. "Woops." *** He frowned slightly. "I know.." *** She wrapped her arms around him. "Don't make me beg." *** She grinned at him. "I love you so much."
She gave him a grin, her eyes bright. "I got it, don't worry. I'm going to go shower." * * * She laid down next to him, hesitating before reaching up for him, her brows furrowed. * * * He raised an eyebrow, looking down at her. "I would never." * * * He laughed deeply, his voice as smooth as velvet. "I love you too, you silly thing. Come on. I have to go make some reports."
He nodded. "I'll be here." *** He wrapped his arms around her gently. *** She flushed slightly, looking up at him. "I really want to kiss you." *** "Okay," she said agreeably. "Let's go."
She laughed slightly. “I know,” she replied cheekily, heading for the door. *** She slipped her arms around his waist, exhaling slightly. “I was supposed to go on a run.” *** He considered her before leaning down and kissing her obligingly. *** He took her hand and headed up towards the office.
He grinned, lying back. *** "I thought so. You can still do it, if you want." *** She relaxed, moving close again. *** Rory followed, her hand in his.
She frowned in consideration. “I could. I don’t know. I wanted to run so I could collect my thoughts.” *** “Weirdo.” *** They returned to his room and he stood at his desk, beginning to move papers around.
She looked up at him before sighing, resting her head on his chest gently. "Just go to sleep." * * * "Denying your weirdness isn't going to work for me." * * * He worked in silence for a couple minutes, pursing his lips thoughtfully.
He nodded slowly, closing his eyes. *** "Then accept it!" *** She swung her legs slightly, looking around. "Want to go out?"
She sighed, turning her head into his chest, drifting off within minutes. * * * "You accept it! You're the one in denial!" * * * He blinked, looking over at her. "Go out where?"
