"I'm just saying you could be biased." *** He grinned, following her up. *** He was behind her. "Hm.." *** She nodded, taking his arm.
“Of course I am. But I’m also biased towards the city.” *** She got to the roof and looked up at the rain clouds with a frown. *** “Scared I’d win?” *** He began to walk. “Are you still sad?”
"Are you? Because you've lived here?" *** He squinted in the sparse rain drops. "It's really getting to be winter." *** "Maybe.." *** She looked up at him with a slight frown. "I'm worried."
“No. I met you here,” he said simply, resting his head back and closing his eyes. *** She huffed, coming over to him. “If it gets too icy, I can’t run,” she complained, looking out across the horizon. “Not on the buildings, anyway.” *** “You should be.” *** “About the moving around?”
She flushed, watching him with a grin. *** "Then why not run elsewhere? The water makes it slick anyways." *** "You're rather confident, arent you?" *** She nodded slowly.
He sat like that for a moment before looking over at her. “Oh, c’mon Blaisey. That can’t make you blush.” *** She frowned, looking up at him. “I like running on roofs, though,” she said disapprovingly. “You’re reminded that you could die at anytime.” *** “You just recovered from being shot. If I can’t beat you, it’s humiliating.” *** He clicked his tongue in disapproval. “You need to learn to trust me more,” he chided.
"It was so sweet," she said adoringly, leaning against him. "And it did make me blush!" *** He raised an eyebrow. "You like remembering that?" *** "I could beat you in a wheelchair." *** She looked up at him before sticking her tongue out."
He sighed affectionately, rolling his eyes. “You’re crazy.” *** “It’s how I live,” she replied, looking up at him thoughtfully. “I need constant reminders.” *** She gasped, looking over at him. “How rude!” *** He squinted at her. “Is that a no?”
She grinned brightly. "Crazy for you." *** "Huh.. I see." *** He smiled at her. "Just saying." *** "It's a maybe."
“Oh, shut up,” he grumbled playfully, eyeing her. *** She frowned, taking his hand and entwining her fingers with his. “Have you ever tried it?” *** “Some things don’t need to be said, dingus.” *** “That’s not the answer I wanted.”
She laughed, tilting her head. *** "Running along rooftops?" he asked. "No.." *** "Wow. Dingus, huh." *** "Oh, I know," she teased, clearing her throat playfully before folding her hands together and leaning toward him him, batting her eyes. "Oh, Aidan! You're always so right! Of course I need to trust you more since you're the smartest and most handsome man in the whole world!"
He rolled his eyes before standing up. “Are you tired?” *** “Want to come with me?” she asked, pulling away to slip off her outerwear. *** “I didn’t mean it,” she said quietly. “I’m just irritated.” *** He glowered at her, letting go of her hand as they walked. “No need to be rude.”
She looked up at him. "Not really." *** "Absolutely not. You've already had to save me from falling to my death once." *** "Wait, you were being serious?" *** She looked up at him, a smile on her face. "I was teasing you."
“Good,” he said, kissing her cheek and standing up. “Come on a scouting trip with me, then?” *** She frowned, folding her clothes and setting them gently on a dry patch of the ground, coming over to him. “Please?” *** “No, of course not, J. Do you really think I’d use dingus as an insult?” *** “I’m sure,” he said flatly, slipping his hands in his pockets. “I’m sure that’s what it was.”
She grinned, standing as well. "Works for me." *** He looked uncertain. "Eh.." *** "..Maybe?" *** Her smile faded and she was watching him. "I was! I would never actually make fun of you, Aidan. That's not a nice thing to do."
He extended a hand to her, heading towards the car. *** She raised an eyebrow before coming over to him, draping her arms over his shoulders and kissing him lightly, an unusual amount of affection from her. “Please?” *** “Gah. You know me too well. I totally would.” *** “Sure,” he said, opening the door to the office. “Are you coming in or not?”
She took it, following him. *** He flushed slightly and sighed. "Fine.." *** He laughed. "I knew it." *** She was watching him with a frown. "Seriously?"
(Zoop?) *** She gave him her rare smile, giving him another kiss, more lingering and sweet than the previous one. “I’m joking,” she murmured against his lips. “I don’t expect you to.” *** “Dingus is kinda my final form. I obliterate with that insult.” *** There was a pause before he cracked a devilish smile at her. “Come on in, loser.”
(Yoop!) *** "I'm terrified," he said, "but I'll try it." *** He laughed. "You're so amazing." *** She looked relieved, coming over and hugging him.
They approached the forest in the car and Ellis slowed to a stop. “We’re here. Ready?” *** She frowned, cupping the back of his neck. “I don’t want you to do it if you’re terrified. The more scared you are, the more likely you are to make mistakes.” *** She flushed, setting her box down on the main floor and turning to him. “Excuse me?” *** He kissed the top of her head with a small grin. “Jesus. You okay?”
