She looked around again. "I like it." *** He shrugged, sitting beside her. "Nothing really." *** He frowned, tilting his head at her. *** She laughed, kissing him back.
"I'm glad you do," he said, heading in. "It used to be truly beautiful, back in the day." * * * She looked over at him thoughtfully, her gaze flickering to his mouth for a moment before returning to his eyes. "Really? Nothing?" * * * "Nope. None of that," she said, setting the box down. "You can't get out of this one." * * * He set her on the bed and kissed her deeply, his hand coming up to rest on her jaw.
She followed him. "It can be beautiful again." *** He noticed, raising an eyebrow before kissing her. *** He pursed his lips and gave her puppy eyes. *** She reached up, resting her hand on the side of his neck.
The house inside was in ruins, but she would be able to see that care had been put into it when it was first made. Carvings had been made on the walls, but they were now singed with ash and smoke. * * * She blinked in surprise but kissed him back, her hand coming up to cup the back of his head. * * * "Nuh uh. I think you're wonderful, but that's not going to work." * * * He leaned down to her, moving to kiss her jaw gently, his fingers running through her hair.
She ran her hands along the wood with frown, saying nothing. *** He pulled away after a moment. "I didn't anything." *** "Please, Lucy?" *** She flushed, tilting her head for him.
He sighed, looking around sadly. "That's okay." * * * She was looking up at him thoughtfully, a flush on her cheeks. "I think you're really attractive." * * * "Fine. Just this once." * * * He pulled away after a moment, looking down at her thoughtfully. "Surprise. I'm going to make you wait."
She looked over at him. "It is. It can be rebuilt." *** He grinned. "So are you." *** "Good!" he said brightly. "I love you." *** She paused before glaring. "What? How long?"
He looked over at her and was quiet for a moment. "I really love you." * * * She rolled her eyes at this, shaking her head. "Shush." * * * "I love you too," she muttered. * * * "I can't tell you that. You're the one who wants to be surprised."
She looked over at him. "I love you too." *** He kissed her again, his hand brushing her hair back. *** He continued to carry boxes, his eyes warm. *** She groaned, leaning back.
He gave her a small smile before sighing. "I should probably start..." * * * She flushed, lying back on the pillows and wrapping her arms around his neck. * * * He laughed, lying next to her playfully. "You're the one who wanted surprises."
She nodded, continuing to look around curiously. *** He was propped up, and pulled away for a moment. *** "That was a bad surprise. But I get it. I see how it is."
He left the house, heading to go inspect other areas. * * * She looked up at him curiously, raising one eyebrow. "What?" * * * "As I promised, I'll make it worth your wait."
She continued looking, discovering where he lived and what it might have been like before heading outside. *** "You're lovely," he said easily. *** "Right, but you said that last time."
He wasn't in sight. * * * She rolled her eyes, her hand on his chest. "I'm not," she said flatly. "I'm just me, you weirdo." * * * "Again, you don't trust me. Tsk tsk."
She frowned, looking around. "Ellis?" *** "Right.. You're lovely." *** She looked over at him with a sigh.
He poked his head into the cave. "I'm here! Just scouting out here. Cave is clear." * * * She squinted at him before kissing him again. "I don't need that," she said quietly. "I'm okay without it." * * * He was resting on his side, raising one eyebrow.
She went outside with him. *** "So..? I want to say it because I think It's true." *** She leaned over and gave him a quick kiss.
He looked at her thoughtfully, extending a hand to her. * * * She laughed slightly. "You're very sweet. Let's sleep, okay?" * * * He gave her a grin. "Good."
Her back rested against his chest and she sighed, closing her eyes for a moment before turning to look at him. “I think you’re absolutely wonderful, you know.” *** “Is that so? Patience is a virtue, my love.”
