He would be able to see the back of her shoulder. A number 7 marked it. "I didn't want you to know," she said quietly. "I didn't want you to know that this was where I came from." *** It would be a long list of names, but he pointed at two that stood grouped. 'Mallory Rose Jaz Soren' *** He sighed. "You'll be able to go out eventually, but.. I think you should take it easy for a little."
He frowned, his hand brushing back her hair gently. "Mallory," he said quietly. "I think you're just... the most incredible person I've ever met. You don't have to worry." * * * She went quiet for a moment, reading the names before kissing his cheek. "It's beautiful. It's a beautiful name. It's yours if you want it." * * * Her eyes widened and she looked at both of them, panicking. "No, I... I can't stay here for that long. I... you both know that. I can't be in one place for that long. I'll freak out. I'll lose it. Please, Ellis." He squinted at her. "I'm not going to let you do this because you beg, Ash. You need to stay here." She turned her head to look at Dion again. "Dion, please," she said, almost in tears. "Tell him he's wrong."
She looked up at him, wrapping her arms around his neck. *** He smiled slowly. "That's my name." *** He frowned. "You have to take it easy. It'll be alright. Something can be figured out."
He kissed her cheek, rubbing her back slowly. "I've known about this stuff since the moment I met you," he told her quietly. "It could never change who you are to me." * * * "Jaz Soren," she said quietly, running her fingers through his hair. "I think it's wonderful." * * * Something that might have been betrayal crossed her eyes and she dropped her head, burying it in the pillow. Ellis sighed as he finished bandaging the wound, standing up. "We'll leave you to get some rest," he said flatly. "Come on, Dion."
She sounded like she were about cry. "It's dirty. It's.. It's gross." She pulled away, looking at her hands. "Terrible." *** He smiled at her, his eyes bright. "Thank you." *** He stood, starting out with a frown.
He took her hands, and kissed the back of them gently. "Rory," he said, a small smile in his voice. "Do you... I'm getting concerned that you don't understand how wonderful you are. You're... you're the sun, my love. You're not terrible. You're not dirty or gross. You're warmth and light and you... you glow, Rory." * * * "You like it?" she asked, looking up at him. * * * Ellis closed the door with a sigh, glancing over at Dion. "She'll probably sulk for a few hours. Thanks for having my back in there, though."
She flushed, holding his hands gently before giving him a small kiss. "I love you so much, Aidan.. Let's go back to the tournament room." *** He nodded. "I love it. Let's go tell Rory." *** He nodded slowly. "Sure thing."
He stood, offering a hand to her. * * * "Mallory Rose... that's lovely too," Lucy mused. "Better than Lucy Virgo." * * * He nodded and turned to leave.
Jaz grinned at them, giving Rory the paper as she squinted at it. "..Jaz Soren and Mallory Rose?" *** (Yoop!)
Emerson looked at the papers thoughtfully. "Mallory Rose. It's beautiful." * * * When Dion next tried to see her, he would approach the door before hearing a crash on the other side, followed by a groan.
"I do," he said, looking down at her. "It's wonderful." * * * Aisling was lying on the floor, wearing patient's garb and looking pissed. She looked up at him as he entered, frowning.
"Are we ready to go?" Lucy asked quietly. * * * "Why do you care, traitor?" she asked bitterly, using the nearby bed to prop herself up.
Jaz nodded. "I think so." Rory looked back with a slight frown. "I hate this place." *** His brows furrowed and he approached, offering help. "What?"
"Yeah, let's go," Emerson urged, gesturing towards the door. * * * She waved him away, pulling herself onto the side of the bed and sitting heavily. "I'm fine. And I don't need to stay in here a whole week. I can..." She winced, shifting uncomfortably. "I can scout."
She nodded and they started out the door. *** He sighed. "You don't need to stay in here a whole week. Just wait before scouting again.."
Emerson looked down at her. "I love your name." * * * "Why didn't you say that earlier?" she grumbled, lying back in the bed. "When Ellis was here? Why didn't you have my back?"
