Rory was at his house, sitting out front. *** He nodded. "The look. The one you gave me when I said something."
He noticed and came out to the porch, drying off his hair. "Hi." * * * "I thought you were going to make fun," she said tiredly.
"It suits you," he said gently, brushing his fingers through her hair. * * * "Shh," she murmured. "Don't tell anyone."
She leaned into his touch. "Thank you. All that's left is a middle name, but I doubt I'd be able to figure that one out." *** He grinned. "Is it a secret?"
"You could choose one," he suggested. "What name would you like?" * * * "Mmhm," she said sleepily. "No one can know that I'm in love with you. I have no feelings."
He looked up at her. "I see. Well, think about it." * * * She fell silent after that, having fallen asleep.
"Meh.. I'm okay with not having a middle name." *** Dion was still there when she woke. He had drifted off as well.
"All the cool people don't have middle names," he acknowledged. * * * Aisling sat up, biting her lip to keep her groan inside, before moving to get off the bed, taking deep breaths.
"I'm the only cool person to have a middle name." * * * She stood up, staggering slightly and grabbing a basic cane from the counters. She winced but headed for the door.
"That sounds like a lie," she decided, folding her arms. *** His eyes fluttered and he sat up. "Aisling..?"
"Nuh uh. Name one other cool person that has a middle name." * * * She froze in the doorway, looking over at him. "Oh. Hey, Di," she said, trying to sound casual. "I'm just... you know. Gonna go on a quick walk. So I'm going to do that now."
