He frowned slightly. "Oh. Alright.. See you, then." *** "It sounds like fun. When are we planning on going?" *** She tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Well I was planning on hanging out with this guy I like.." She grinned up at him. "That's you. You're the guy. Why?" *** She squinted suspiciously. "Yes, I know. What are you getting at?"
She nodded, pulling her bag on her back uncertainly. "I'll swing by later," she said distractedly, backing away from him. * * * "In the next couple of days. We want to get there early." * * * "Can I make you dinner tonight?" he asked, leaning down and kissing her jaw gently. * * * He had his hands behind his back and squinted before presenting a baby German Shepard to her. The puppy was all paws and was squirming in Ellis' large hands. He didn't look older than 6 weeks. "His name is Moose and he's very, very excited to meet you."
He nodded, heading off with a frown. *** He seemed happy. "Sounds good. I'm excited." *** She grinned, looking over at him "I would love that." *** She paused, watching him with the puppy before breaking out into a wide smile and gently taking Moose. "Ellis! I love him! I love you!"
That night, there came a knock on his door. * * * She seemed very excited. "Great. You need to pack." * * * He looked down at her thoughtfully. "Yeah?" * * * Moose whimpered in excitement, beginning to lick Blaise's face. "He loves you," Ellis replied.
He went to the door and opened it. *** He nodded. "I'll start tonight." *** She nodded. "It'll be nice." *** She hugged the puppy before coming over to Ellis and kissing his cheek. "This is wonderful."
Aisling was standing there as she normally was at this time of night. She had clearly showered and now smelled of her soap. "Hey. You ready to sleep?" * * * "Me too. This is going to be fun!" * * * "Great. Then it's a date," he said smoothly. "See you soon." * * * "I'm glad you like him. We found a litter while scouting today."
He nodded, stepping aside for her to come in. *** He nodded, smiling. "I think so too." *** "See you then," she said warmly. *** She grinned up at him. "He's perfect."
She sat on the edge of the bed, looking up at him expectantly. * * * She gave him a quick kiss before turning and heading for her workshop. * * * He gave her a small grin before leaving. * * * "He's a very good boy. And he loves you. And he's very smart. He already knows his name."
"You've been gone a lot," he commented, getting into bed. *** He went to pack excitedly. *** She went back to work with a smile. *** She rested her head on his shoulder. "Thank you so much, Ellis."
She frowned, looking over at him nervously, lying next to him. "No, I haven't," she said slowly. "I've been gone a normal amount." * * * (Z00p?) * * * (Zoop?) * * * "Of course," he said, kissing the top of her head. "You're okay with him staying with you?"
He was quiet for a moment before sighing. "Okay." *** (Y00p!) *** (Yoop!) *** She nodded. "Of course! I love him so much."
She looked over at him before sighing, leaning over to kiss his cheek lightly. "I'm sorry. I've just been... working on something." * * * They had been driving for a few hours after their last rest break. Finally, Lucy pulled over slowly. * * * That evening, there came a knock on Rory's door. * * * "Good. I also stopped and got some supplies for him. Dog food, dog bed, stuff like that."
He nodded slowly. "Alright, then.. I trust you." *** He stretched, looking out the window. "Are you excited?" *** She opened up, her expression brightening when she saw him. She was wearing a simple but nice dress. "You're here!" *** "Oh, you're the best. In the whole world."
She softened and wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him lightly. "I love you." * * * "Very," she said, stepping out of the car. "I've been looking forward to this." * * * He grinned, offering her a small bouquet of daisies. "I am. You look beautiful." * * * "That's why I prefaced the gift with all that talk. To make sure you knew."
He brushed her hair back gently. "I love you too." *** He got out as well, looking around. "What's going to be here?" *** She took them, kissing his cheek. "Thank you! You look handsome as well. These are lovely." *** "Ah, I already knew that. Would you like to stay here tonight?"
She slipped her arms around his waist, resting her head on his chest. "I'm going to sleep now, okay?" * * * "Parts, hopefully! Radio parts. This will upgrade inventions from purely mechanical to electronic." * * * "I'm glad you think so," he said, offering an arm. * * * "Sure," he said with a small nod. "Someone's gotta stop Moose from jumping up on the bed."
He nodded, closing his eyes. "Sleep well." *** "I'll look for those, then." *** She took his arm, her eyes bright. *** She pursed her lips. "What if... I'm okay with him being on the bed..?"
(Zoop?) *** “God, I love you, Jaz Soren,” she murmured, taking his hand. *** He led her back to his house, opening the door. The table had been set up nice, with rose petals and candles lit. *** “Hm. Are you okay with that?”
(Yoop!) *** He grinned, squeezing her hand. "I love you too." *** Her eyes widened. "Wow, Aidan. This is so sweet!" *** "Absolutely."
Her hand was in his as she led him through the woods at sunset a few days later. She was moving ahead, clearly excited. *** “Do you want to find anything here?” *** He kissed her forehead before pulling out her chair. “Here. Sit. I have food I’m making.” *** “If you do that, he’ll want to sleep up there every night.”
