"Yes, Di, of course. It's gonna feel bad after a while." * * * She shook her head quickly, her eyes filling with tears. "Don't talk to me for just a second, please." * * * They returned to the house after a while, with Emerson opening the door for her. * * * "I'm not that, either. Why are you doing this?"
He frowned and went quiet, re-evaluating his decisions. *** He stopped, pulling his hand away and going quiet. He looked down. *** She stepped in. "Thank you." *** "He peed inside and you praised him."
(Zoop?) * * * They pulled over after a while and Lucy took a deep breath, not looking at him. "I'm so... I'm so sorry, Jaz." * * * He raised an eyebrow playfully before kissing her cheek. "You're welcome." * * * "Because he's a baby and peeing's good!"
(Yoop!) *** He looked over at her. "Why are you apologizing? It was your fault." *** She turned to him with a grin. *** "But not inside."
She pulled away, rubbing his back. "There. I'm done." * * * She took a deep breath, turning to him with tears in her eyes. She had a deep cut on her jaw from the glass and she shook her head. "I made you come with me." * * * "Well...?" he asked quietly, taking her hands. * * * "Free the pee, you capitalist."
He took a breath. "Done? How is it?" *** His eyes widened and he leaned in. "You're hurt! Do you have a first aid kid?" *** She watched him before resting her hand on his jaw and kissing him. *** She laughed. "Wow."
She wiped it, cleaning it gently. “I like it, but I’m biased.” *** She pulled away in surprise. “What?” She tapped the wound with her fingertips in confusion, pulling her hand away and looking at the dark blood on her hands. *** He picked her up gently, resting her back against the wall to steady them. *** “No?”
He wiggled eagerly. "I wanna see!" *** He took her hand, his eyes wide. "Do you have a first aid kit?" *** She flushed, running a hand through his hair. *** "I'm not a capitalist."
She laughed before pulling up a mirror. *** She looked baffled. “In the trunk, maybe...?” *** He dipped his head to kiss her neck gently. *** “You are to Moose and I.”
He turned to try and see. *** He looked outside, checking for Plaguers before getting out and going to the trunk. *** She tilted her head for him, her hand trailing from his jaw to his chest. *** She frowned before going to her bed and lying face first into the pillow.
It was a woodcut drawing of a pomegranate on his shoulder, with leaves climbing up to curl around his scapula. *** There was a few medical supplies in the back, like a roll of medical gauze and some hydrogen peroxide, but not much. *** He shifted, kissing her collarbone gently before looking up at her. “Should we go to the room?” *** Ellis frowned, picking up Moose and setting him on her back.
He grinned, his eyes brightening. "I love it!" *** A frown crossed his face as he took the items and returned. "The most I can do right now is clean it." *** She leaned down to kiss him. "I'd like that.." *** She turned her head to look up at him.
She seemed nervous, but relaxed when he said that. “Really?” *** She was still staring down at her fingertips, her blood bright against her skin. “I’m alright, J,” she said slowly. “It’s not that bad.” * * * He nodded slowly, moving them into the bedroom and closing the door behind him. *** “Moose is sorry.”
He nodded. "It's so good, Aisling." *** He frowned, preparing to clean it. "Still." *** (Zoop?) *** "Moose is forgiven. Is Ellis sorry?"
She relaxed, kissing the corner of his mouth. "I'm glad!" * * * She pulled away nervously, looking at him. "It's gonna hurt if you do that." * * * (Yoop!) * * * "Ellis feels no remorse. You should know that."
He grinned happily, sitting up carefully. "Now I'm cool like you." *** He reached up with his free hand, brushing the jaw that wasn't injured. "I know.. But it will be over soon and it's better to clean it." *** Afterwards, Rory was still awake but was rather sleepy, her head on his chest and her arms around his waist. *** She squinted before patting the space beside her.
She laughed, cupping his jaw in her hands. “You were always cool.” *** She squinted before relenting, moving closer to him. *** He kissed the top of her head before sitting up gently, pulling on his boxers. *** He sat, ruffling her hair.
"Yeah, but now it's cool like you now." *** He was gentle, his expression set in worry as he cleaned the cut on her jaw carefully. *** She looked up at him thoughtfully before searching around the room and finding his shirt, putting it on with a small smile. *** "..Ellis is forgiven."
She rolled her eyes before kissing him, her hands on his jaw. *** She winced, looking down at the glass in her lap. *** He returned with two plates of small cakes, in offering one to her. *** “I appreciate it,” he said easily, kissing her temple.
He kissed her back, a smile on his lips. "I love you." *** He frowned, focusing on his work before pulling away. "I'm sorry.." *** "Thank you," she said warmly, taking it. *** "Mm," she murmured, carefully turning over and taking Moose in her arms. "I love you."
