Blaise nodded with a worried frown and picked up Moose, going to find Dion. Jaz said nothing to Aisling, turning to Lucy. "I'm sorry."
Aisling slung her linen pack over her shoulder before taking off in a light jog, leaving the campsite. Lucy was also frowning but looked up at him. "Don't apologize. It's not your fault. Aisling's a really good tracker. She'll find him and bring him home."
"Anyone would have done the same thing in your situation, J," she said gently, cupping his jaw in her hands. Her bright blue eyes seemed worried, but she stood up on her tiptoes, kissing his nose. "Aisling just gets like this when she's worried."
She frowned, looking over at Blaise. Her hazel eyes were exhausted and she shook her head slowly. "Blood," she said heavily, her voice low. "Lots of it. No sighting of Ellis, though."
Blaise looked nervous, but didn't say anything of it. "I see... Uh.. Dion is at his cabin, if you'd like to see him."
She nodded tiredly, running her fingers through her hair. "I really, really would," she said quietly before looking up at Blaise. "You can come hang out with us, if you'd like, or..." She hesitated, clearly uncomfortable. She cleared her throat before continuing. "Ahem. If you need to talk or anything."
She gave her a small, nervous smile. "I appreciate it, but I'll be alright alone for now. I'll see you."
She frowned before nodding, rubbing her knuckles with her thumb. "I understand," she said quietly. "Try not to panic, Blaise. Ellis is good. He'll come back." She turned and headed for Dion's cabin.
