She rolled her eyes, running her fingers through his hair gently. "You should know it by heart by now. Come on, let's pack." * * * He looked at the scratches, visibly growing pale. "He scratched you?" he asked, sounding like he may have been choking back tears. * * * She nodded, following him. * * * Anthony frowned, but shook his head slowly. "We don't let random travelers into our camp," he replied, not unkindly. "I'm sorry. You'll just have to continue on your way."
He reached up to give her a kiss before standing, stretching out his arms. "I'm excited." *** She dropped her hands, looking sick. "I.. He scratched me." *** Eventually they came upon a burning wreck. It was an airplane. There was broken crates and debris. *** "I have some trading proposals," he said smoothly. Aisling came with a small bag and her adventuring clothes. "Ready to go?" she asked, taking his hand and squeezing it. (Zoop?) * * * He kissed her forehead. "Trust me, my love. I won't let anything happen to you." * * * She frowned, hurrying over and moving some of the rubble to try and find the person. "Hello? Are you hurt?" * * * "Contrary to what your actions indicate, I believe you. I love you too."
(Yoop!) *** She took a breath and hugged him, her whole body shaking slightly. *** A bit always, someone sat up, their hand to their head. *** She grinned, kissing his cheek.
They had been driving for a long time. Aisling was in the middle of telling him a story, a smile on her lips before she froze, slowing the car to a stop, the smile falling from her mouth. * * * He exhaled slightly, his hands sliding up her back to run through her hair. "Try not to worry. Try your best." * * * She jumped in surprise, turning to the person. "Are you okay?" * * * He closed his eyes again.
He looked over at her curiously, his head tilting slightly. "Aisling?" *** She nodded, her arms around him slightly. *** Blood was dripping down their head and they looked rough. It was an older man, with graying hair and broken glasses, covered in dust. *** "Going back to sleep already?"
She put the car in park, her brows furrowing. "Something... there's something here," she said confusedly, blinking as she scanned the line of the city where it met the forest, the road dividing the two worlds. She unbuckled her seatbelt, getting out of the car. * * * He kissed her forehead before taking her hand. "You should get packed." * * * Her eyes reflected alarm and she approached him, pulling her handkerchief from her pocket. "Sir?" * * * "I'm a very sleepy boy; you know this."
He frowned, following her out of the car. "Careful, Ash." *** She nodded, pulling away and going to pack. *** Jaz watched carefully. The man looked up. "Oh, dear. Can you tell me which city we're in?" *** She wrapped an arm around him. "True."
She looked around, not quite frantic, but definitely concerned. She approached the city side of the road, slinging her leg over a short fence and hopping over it. "Careful," she said absently. "There's barbed wire on your side." She paused before jerking her head, looking at the fence, confirming her words with a sense of deja-vu in her eyes. * * * (Zoop?) * * * She frowned, looking over at Jaz before offering the man her handkerchief. "Seattle," she said with a frown. * * * He looked up at her. "Do you want another sandwich?"
