He nodded doing as she instructed. *** "I have no idea.." *** (Zoop!) Rory woke up awhile later, shifting as she sat up.
"There," she said quietly. "Good. Steer out onto the road now." * * * "Hm.." * * * Emerson was asleep underneath her, his brows furrowed with worry.
He nodded, pulling onto the road. *** "What if he's just crazy?" *** She leaned down to kiss his cheek before getting out of bed, looking out the window.
"Beautiful. I'd say I feel like a proud mother, but that'd be weird considering the amount of time I spend kissing you." * * * "It's possible," she agreed. * * * He stretched out and opened his eyes, relaxed for a moment before remembering the situation and sitting up quickly. "Rory?"
He laughed. "You're proud. A proud.. girlfriend, I suppose." *** "I wonder how far he'll go." *** She looked over. "Yeah?"
She gave him a small smile before leaning over and resting her head on his shoulder. "I'm your girlfriend? Your partner, I think." * * * "He's infinite, my love." * * * He relaxed, leaning back. "Hey."
"Partner does check all the boxes.." *** He raised an eyebrow. "What's that?" *** She got back into bed with a slight frown. "Do I look normal? Like the same as usual?"
She turned her head into his neck for a moment before pulling away. "Do you want to set up camp soon?" * * * 'Infinite? It's like... never ending." * * * "Yes," he said quietly, looking tired.
He glanced at her momentarily. "If you'd like to." *** "No, no. I meant about the guy." *** She nodded slowly. "Good."
"We don't have to," she said hastily, looking over at him. "If you want to keep driving." * * * She looked confused, raising one eyebrow. * * * "C'mere. Let's clean the wound."
She leaned over, kissing under his jaw gently. "Pull over here." * * * "Yes, he is," Lucy agreed. * * * He followed her, leaning up against the bathroom counter.
He nodded, doing as she asked. *** "I dunno if this is safe." *** She rested against the counter, going quiet for a moment.
They pulled over and she put the car in park, kissing his cheek gently before getting out of the car and opening the backseat. * * * "We can go back if you'd like." * * * "You alright?"
He got out and stretched, looking over the roof of the car at her. "This is nice." *** "Maybe we should.." *** She looked up at him. "I feel like I've taken everything for granted."
"It is, right? Want to sleep on the roof?" * * * "Okay. Let's go." * * * He frowned, taking her hand. "What do you mean?"
He laughed. "Sure. Hopefully we don't fall off." *** He nodded, smiling slightly. "Maybe the plane wreckage will have parts." *** "L-Like my home and my friends and being alive.. And you. I wish I could just... Give you everything, Aidan."
"We won't," she reassured him, climbing up on top and laying out a blanket. * * * "Maybe," she mused. "Let's go check it out." * * * His face grew impossibly sad and he took a sharp breath, pulling her into his arms. "You already have, Rory."
He grabbed the pillows and put them up with a yawn. *** He nodded, going back to the wreck. *** She buried her face in his shoulder. "I love you so much.. More than you could know."
She climbed on top of the car, reaching down a hand to him. * * * She followed, reaching for him hand. * * * He kissed her temple. rubbing her back. "I love you too, Rory."
