She studied him for a moment before nodding, looking over her shoulder for a moment. "Don't let them see you," she said quietly, heading back to the entrance. "I'll let them explore for a while, but we'll try not to take any of your *squee!*. Just stay hidden, alright?"
"Nothing here is mine. I was exploring too." He was quiet for a moment, looking down thoughtfully before returning the gaze. "A fair word of advice, vehicles are noisy. You're lucky my attention was the only one you attracted." He frowned slightly. "There are some more problematic people in the inner city. Be careful."
She glanced over her shoulder at him, her sharp gaze softening slightly. It completely transformed her face and for a moment, she was just another person, watching him thoughtfully. "Thanks for the advice," she replied quietly, raising one eyebrow. That sharpness returned and she shrugged smoothly. "But we've been doing this for a while. We know what we're doing."
"I can tell," he replied lowly, gesturing to her gun. "You carry those around. They're hard to get. I won't bother you anymore. Neither will anyone I care for."
There was a small pause as she considered him for a moment. She glanced over her shoulder back at her party before approaching him curiously, her brow furrowed. "What's your name?"
She didn't answer for a moment, studying him thoughtfully. "Dion. I haven't heard about you," she replied smoothly. "Normally, I'm able to recognize the names of other Clan members. Yours is unfamiliar to me. Dion, you said?"
"That's right," he said uncertainly. "I'm Dion. The people I'm with are generally unknown. They don't like to get into business with others."
She considered him thoughtfully, standing about two feet away. She had peculiar eyes; a soft green with golden flecks in them. "Hm. Dion," she repeated thoughtfully, pulling away and heading back to the door. "I'll remember that. I'll see you around, Dion."
He seemed somewhat surprised before tilting his head, recalling what her friends called her. "See you... Aisling, right? That's what they said?"
She paused before a genuine smile crossed her lips as she considered him. "Huh. You were listening. Yes, my name is Aisling. Good to meet you."
He returned a small smile, relaxing slightly, moving to go past her. "You as well. I should get going... You might be able to handle unexpected visitors, but I certainly cannot."
"Wait one moment," she said, her smile dropping as she turned to look past him. "Wait until we leave. I don't want them to spot you."
She sighed slightly, moving past him and heading back into the open room just as Ellis and Lucy returned. “Did you find anything?” Aisling asked. Lucy shook her head and Ellis draped an arm over Aisling’s shoulder tiredly, yawning. “C’mon, let’s head back, okay?” “Yeah, I think that’s a good idea,” Aisling said, ruffling Ellis’ hair affectionately. “Let’s head out.”
The group departed and Aisling was the last one out. She glanced over her shoulder and looked in his direction for a moment before leaving as well, closing the door behind her.
He relaxed, closing his eyes in relief for a moment. He waited for them to leave before heading out safely and without being seen.
There was the loud roar of the engine as they disappeared down the road, kicking up dust as they moved down the road.
