It took her a moment. She held the plant close to her as she took a breath, looking the ground before back at him. She tapped her nose thoughtfully with the plant before opening her mouth. "Lavender."
He blinked, looking completely shocked as he stared at her for a moment. A smile crept across his lips, the first truly genuine smile she would see from him, lighting up his eyes as he watched her. "Lavender," he repeated earnestly.
She grinned again before looking ahead. Her voice was rather gentle and sweet. Raspy on some words, but otherwise smooth. It was a shy voice, but a nice one.
He watched her carefully, adding all this information into his mental file on her, taking in everything he witnessed.
