"Well, I ran first," she said, tilting her head and sitting down. "You know. Building jumping."

 

She seemed confused by that comment, tilting her head curiously.

"Living in the city and living in the forest isn't that different," she mused after a moment of silence, looking out across the horizon.

 

She laughed slightly, looking down at him for a moment.

"You've never lived in the forest."

 

"I suppose that's true," she said. "What are you making?"

 

She shook her head slowly.

"No, thank you. We don't eat meat in my clan."

 

She frowned, evidently disapproving of this analysis.

"How so?"

 

"You should try it sometime."

 

"I think you could if you looked."

 

"If you say so."

 

"Looking at the stars," she said after a moment. "You can't see them as well here as you can at home."
