She laughed lightly, turning her head to look over at him. "You could make it work." * * * "Well, then, Blaisey, you've made a terrible mistake."
"I mean, if you can make the hat work." * * * He frowned before giving her his slow sweet smile. "Blaise..."
"Even if I didn't I would still wear it," he replied indignantly. "It is helpful." *** She scooted away as far as she could, squinting at him. "No. Don't you dare."
"For what?" she countered, taking a sharp turn. "Making your aesthetic pop?" The sharp turn caused Blaise to slide towards Ellis and he caught her ankle, looking down at it for a moment before beginning to untie her shoe.
"Keeping the sun out of my eyes," he told her matter-of-factly. She gasped, trying to pull away. "No!"
She gave him a look adjacent to disgust. "Dion, you have two hands." Ellis looked up at her, while continuing to untie her shoes. "...yes."
"Why are you looking at me like that? I use my hands." She reached over, trying to pry his hands away.
"Then you don't need a hat," she said primly, reaching over with one hand and plucking it from his head, putting it on. He laced his fingers with one of her hands easily, still untying her shoelaces with the other.
He rolled his eyes, continuing to work. "I use my hands to work." She fought with her other hand, pushing his away.
"Use them to block out the sun too." * * * He pulled her shoe off and began tickling her mercilessly.
"I don't have that many hands. I have to work sometimes." *** She she burst out laughing, doing anything she could to get away, mostly kicking away weakly.
Eventually they were in a small city. From the freeway they would see a rather large amusement park. The roller coasters and ferris wheel would look small in the distance.
Dion looked over. "Yeah, let's go." Jaz had fallen asleep, his head leaned back. Blaise leaned over Ellis to look, her head tilted. "Oh wow."
She took the turn off, heading down the road. Lucy's hand was on his chest, but she stirred, blinking sleepily. "What is that?" Ellis asked curiously.
