He turned, his eyes fluttering open sleepily. *** Blaise was fast asleep, shifting slightly. *** Jaz murmured, slowly starting to wake.
Aisling muttered after a few minutes, shifting awake slowly, looking at the sky dully. * * * Ellis slowly woke up, blinking sleepily before looking down at Blaise in confusion. * * * Lucy frowned in her sleep at the movement, resting her head on his chest in protest.
Dion sat up with a yawn, not noticing the hat as he looked to Aisling. "Good morning." *** She appeared peaceful, shifting at his movements. *** He looked down at her, patting her head before stretching.
She was glaring at the sky, but as he spoke to her, her glaring switched over to him. "I think I might actually be dying," she said flatly. "I don't remember being this hungover last time I drank." * * * He laughed lightly, brushing his fingers through her hair affectionately before sitting up on his elbows. * * * She muttered to herself before her eyes opened. She looked up at Jaz with an air of confusion. "Did you just pat my head?" she asked, sounding amused.
He looked over her. He paused, reaching up and touching the braid in confusion. "Huh.." *** She muttered something, her brows furrowing. *** He smiled slightly. "Yeah."
She squinted at it before sitting up, groaning with the action. "I think I might have done that," she said flatly, looking over at him. * * * He pulled the covers up for her, looking around curiously. * * * She laughed lightly, lying on her back and looking up at him. "How'd you sleep?"
He pursed his lips, looking down. He picked up his hat. "My hat?" *** She relaxed again, going quiet. *** "Better," he admitted. "Thank you.'
She glanced over at it idly as she began to roll up the bedroll. "Oh. Right. I went out and looked for it after you went to bed last night." * * * He studied her for a moment, his brow furrowed. * * * She was quiet for a moment, reaching up and tapping his chin with her pointer playfully before sitting up. "Of course, Jaz. Let's get ready to go."
He tilted his head. "You did..? Thank you.." *** She looked comfortable and warm, her eyelashes dark against her cheeks and her hair falling over her face. Her breaths were quiet and small, her shoulders rising and falling. *** He nodded, standing up. "Thank you for letting me share you sleeping mat."
She seemed uncomfortable by his gratitude, squinting at him for a moment. "You're welcome. It's not a big deal." * * * He flushed lightly, watching her thoughtfully before rubbing her back. "Blaise? We gotta get going." * * * "Of course," she said, rolling up the bedroll.
He observed her thoughtfully before patting her shoulder almost playfully, standing up and beginning to pack. *** Her eyes fluttered, revealing the sharp gaze that seemed a bit warmer and sleepy in the moment. "I'll die." *** He picked up the blanket, folding it with a yawn.
She glared at her bedroll as she packed it, heading over to the car. * * * "No, you won't, sweetie," he said gently. "Come on. We gotta go." * * * Lucy patted his back as she passed before heading to the car, yawning sleepily.
He packed up his things as well, putting them in the trunk. *** She sighed, sitting up and running a hand through her messy hair before standing, reaching up and stretching. *** He followed, opening the door and putting the blanket on the seat for later.
Aisling got in the driver's seat, yawning sleepily as she went to turn on the car. She was jolted awake as the 80's hits blasted out and she glared at the radio before punching and shattering it, effectively shutting off the music. * * * He began to clean up, carrying their bedstuff to the car and setting it next to their seats. *** Lucy sat in her seat, resting her head against the window uncomfortably.
Dion frowned. "Jeez.." *** She took what she could to clean up, returning the stuff to the car. She peered in before laughing slightly. "I forgot about Balthazar." *** He got in as well, looking over at her. "Are you okay?"
"Holy *squee!*, my head is killing me," she groaned, resting her head against the wheel. * * * He grinned, looking over at her. "Balthazar didn't forget about you." * * * "Hm?" she asked, looking over at him. "Oh, yeah. I'm just going to try to sleep more, but... windows don't make great pillows."
He tilted his head, a bit worried. "Are you okay to drive?" *** "Good," she said warmly, getting in and slipping past Balthazar. "I'm glad." *** "Well.. You get put your head in my lap, that way you could lie down as well?"
She looked over at him, raising an eyebrow. "Twice a week for ten years, remember? I'll be fine. It'll be better once we get on the road." * * * He also got in, sitting on the other side of Balthazar and draping an arm over the bear. "Do you remember last night at all?" he asked. * * * She looked over at him, frowning. "I don't want you to have to do that..."
He nodded, closing the door. "Just checking." *** She looked thoughtful, shaking her head slowly before remembering something. "Oh! You totally held me in your arms while we slept." *** He put the blanket on his lap as an extra pillow. "You don't have to, but I don't mind."
She started driving, winding down the window and letting the cool air blow through the car. * * * He laughed, raising an eyebrow. "You forced me too!" he replied, leaning up against Balthazar. "You told me that you were going to sleep next to me." * * * She hesitated before lying down in his lap, settling her head. "Thanks, Jaz."
