She relaxed, her head tilting as she observed him carefully. She came over silently, putting mint leaves on the side table before going back to the kitchen.
He woke about an hour later, coughing. He sat up and hunched over, opening the window as he tried to catch his breath.
He was still coughing into his arm, but he turned away from her, facing the window. After it ended, he pulled his arm away, noticing the blood in the crook of his elbow but trying to conceal it.
There was blood on his arm and he frowned, jerking his arm away from her. He stood up, looking down at her disapprovingly.
She looked upset, both at him and in general. Her expression was conflicted, like she wanted to speak but could not. Ultimately, she did not speak, and turned, leaving the room.
He exited the showers, looking drawn and tired before he returned to the quarters, beginning to work again.
It was Rory, she looked nervous, worried, and a bit like she were about to cry. She didn't say anything.
He looked down at her in surprise, his hand resting on the back of her head as he frowned. "This is... unexpected."
