She raised an eyebrow playfully before glancing out the window.

“It’s dark out. Did you walk here by yourself?”

 

She frowned, watching out the window cautiously.

“Well, I’m staying here for tonight,” she said. “You’re welcome to stay as well.”

 

She went over to the hammock, setting it up before looking over at him, extending a hand to him.

 

She settled on the edge of the hammock, looking over at him with one raised eyebrow.

 

She frowned at this reaction, tilting her head.

“Are you okay?”

 

She gave him a small smile before kissing his cheek quickly.

“You’re perfect, J,” she said affectionately. “Don’t worry. I’d tell you if you were doing something wrong.”

 

She grinned at him cheekily, raising one eyebrow.

“Come on,” she said. “Let’s sleep.”

 

She looked down at him before lying down on her back next to him, looking over at him thoughtfully.

 

She gave him a small smile before resting her head on his chest, pushing against the wall to get a gentle swing going.

“Good night, J.”

 

She closed her eyes and the night was quiet. Over the next hour, she slowly drifted off.
