I don't think there's nothing wrong with show. since I don't have much time these days, but I have an idea, I'll get to it on Thursday.
Now, I can't say for sure, (because I have not been here too long) but I think the enthusiasm is FANTASTIC here! I have found only energetic, friendly, and helpful bronies on this site. Not to sound cheesy, but since I joined Everypony my life has become 20% cooler! Could it be that you are so USED to the enthusiasm that you don't appreciate it anymore? Or at least don't see it as such an over-the-top thing anymore?
I only wish for the lessons that are easily forgotten, to be remembered as they truly are the closest thing we have to harmony. FiM reminded me of these morals, of which I now follow, and people have noticed my change, and they see it as a good thing. Yet they do not realise how simple a method it was for me to be reminded of how to treat others. The Brony community can only grow from this point on, whether that will change, I am unsure, but I have only heard of a couple of cases where certain Bronies have left the herd. I may not always be a Brony, maybe it will die off, as much as I hope it doesn't. But I will not forget the show, the lessons, or more importantly the community. You guys made me realise this, and I thank you.
The show will end and the overall activity of all show-dedicated communities will slowly come to a total halt. But, will we also stop doing what we are doing now because the TV show came to an end? No. I think we will not. What we have learnt, what we are giving everyone else who's not familiar with ponies is much more valuable. I believe that the lessons this show has given all of us, the music and fics bronies have created as well as other kind of activities that this fandom has spawned will remain something important to the world. Nobody will forget about the mane 6. No one will ever forget about the bright side of the Internet this show was able to uncover. I'd like to think this is the tip of the iceberg, and that we will do much more for our own world. Someone once said: "If you can't got to Equestria, then bring Equestria to Earth." Perhaps now we'll be able to better our world, maybe.
Just because the show ends doesn't mean the fanbase will... Look at it this way. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Show's long over. There are still fansites for it with relatively active communities. *shrug*
I think there will always be a fan base for Bronys. Like otherwise stated look at all the other cartoons and shows that have a huge following even decades after they are off the air.
The show has years to go yet, and frankly I think that the brony community is still growing, for the time being at least. And when the show stops, we will remember it fondly and sometimes we will watch old episodes on whatever media happens to be handy, when we want to. The fandom will continue for some years at some level, much like happened with Star Trek fans. The fact that there is no Star Trek series in current production does not appreciably weaken the trekkie community. I can't say that MLP:FiM has achieve the same level of fandom as Star Trek, but the community is certainly respectable in size and is getting noticed even among the mass media. The happy thoughts that the show and the extended fan community bring to our lives will not soon be forgotten. Be sure of that. I think many of us will call ourselves bronies (at least to ourselves) to our last breath on earth. And some will die hoping that heaven has some familiar ponies in it, waiting to welcome us and renew our friendships. It is never too late to have a happy childhood, and there is never a compelling reason to abandon all the "childish" things that have brought happiness into your life. An adult who has none of his or her toys from childhood, no stuffed animal that was special to you, in a chest or on a shelf somewhere in a bedroom or closet, is a broken soul, unless those things were lost due to no fault of his or her own. The things that have brought me the greatest happiness in life STILL bring happiness to me. MLP:FiM will continue to bring happy thoughts to me long after the franchise has finally been retired for the last time. If all else fails, I can replay every episode in my mind, and almost word for word, frame for frame, if I choose to do so.
I hope it's not dying anytime soon. Though. It may very well, because maybe at some point some crappy artist or director or channel will buy the show for big bucks and end up corrupting it, or eventually they'll run out of ideas. But for now. The show is here, the fanbase is here, we're all here. There's no point in looking at the future of the show when there is on the now of the show. Also, if this show dies, a lot of spirit within people will die. I'd like to point out that before I started liking this show, I was grouchy, I was depressed, I was apathetic. But when I started getting into it and joined the community, my spirit turned around and I started feeling a lot better. So honestly, this community of Bronies saved my life. So even if the show dies, we'll have the memories. Even if the show dies, the community doesn't have to... I won't let it... I can't let it...
