OH NO!!! poor sweetie belle! he is a friend of mine! i must talk to him! *lightly cries* who could do this... oh my god... This is pure evil.
I hope the video at the store can help find the two that did it. If what they said during the assault is true, this is a hate crime. Whether or not your friend is gay, they assaulted him because they thought he was. That is the intent here and the punishment, if they are prosecuted, should be more severe. IANAL, but I hope I'm right about that. A hate crime could mean actual prison time. I would like to see some justice served here.
Wow. Talk about bringing the phrase "Stop liking what I don't like!" to an unneccesary extreme. Oh no! Someone who isn't in the age group of this fandom is buying the toys for themsleves! That is THE. WORST. POSSIBLE. THING! I hope Sweetiebelle is getting throught this the best he can, and I hope this dosen't turn him off from the fandom too much.
Okay, I've already had this rant, but I gotta say it again. Let me preface this though: I am not saying I'm not angry with this sort of bull*squee!* on the bullies part. It's despicable and petty and just wrong, and I hope that enough investigation goes into this that jail time is awarded to the appropriate people. I am not defending them. RANT ABOUT INTERNET RAGE:Guys, your a bunch of voices on the internet. What good does threatening these people do? It's either ineffective as heck or it just becomes a point of amusement for them because WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING TO THEM. Barring a form of identity that we could then to go on to slander and mock to hale and back, us gettingangry at them is about as efffective as a Fluttershy 'yay'. RANT ABOUT LOVE AND TOLERANCE:I understand we're angry-we have every right to be. This form of prejudice is disgusting and a violation of the fandom's core tenets. But guys, as much as we hate these people, wouldn't it be better if we wished them to grow up and learn? To mature, to feel remorse, to develop? in short, shouldn't we hope that this incident can be turned aroundto help them learn love and tolerance? You know, that thing we preach all the time? Love, Tolerance, Understanding, Friendship-THEY AREN'T JUST WORDS. Remember them even as you learn how to break a wrist. FINAL NOTE: If I could say anything to these guys, it'd be this: "I'm sorry you have issues. I really do. I can only hope you'll come to understand the pain and the embarrasment you put this guy into, that you'll one day have the desire to balance the scales for what you did today with true intent. HOWEVER, know you just motivated every brony out there to sharpen their knives, and judge carefully." EDITED PS: Like I said, I'm not defending them, and I'm not even really that bothered by the anger-it's just a matter of how venomous it becomes. We SHOULD be angry, we should be INDIGNANT that this happened, we should want to see them get what they deserve. But it strikes me as important that no matter how angry we get, how ever much they deserve to get pounded, we as a fan community NEED TO BE THE BETTER PEOPLE. It's worth a reminder even as we're angry.
It is sad that it seems no one was there to help him, or possibly care (as I do not know what happened). I severely believe in an "Eye for an Eye" with the crueler side of retribution in my heart for heinous such as these. I'm not afraid to abandon my morals for justice in a situation such as this. I only wish I could've been there to help him fight back against the bullies.
I almost had a heart attack when I read the line that a person committed suicide because they were being bullied for liking trains. Because I was thinking about how you were bullied too, and I was thinking that the post was about you. Lucky, you were the one who posted it, but I didn't notice the person who posted it at the time. Back on topic. We can only hope that Sweetie Belle is okay. Hopefully he hasn't sustained any trauma, mentally or physical, after this incident. Also, I would like to point out that people, in general, think we're the messed up ones. Right...>.>
People who bully others socially, physically or both are insecure, so much so that they believe belittling others makes them feel more secure inside. It won't make them feel any more secure after the deed is done. Hopefully one day, all the people like that will wise up and realize there's an empty feeling it leaves. When you treat others nicely or give something to them, it triggers a function in the brain that rewards you with the pleasure of fulfilling a good deed. What makes me curious is the lack of security guards stepping in to stop it. Walmart usually has a security staff on hand for situations like this.
If the people responsible serve prison time I will personally send them a present. A picture of Celestia that has Haters gonna do Time on it. Somepony make this gif for me. please. I will attach it to the article.
Reading that event is really sad. There are a lot of bitter people, who are lurking to ruin the hopes of others. These guys hate all that don't understand. They are not able to open their minds and don't know the meaning of real friendship.
I wish some hater would do that to me! >:O I'd ruin them! Seriously though that's so ridiculous. Like somepony said earlier, what if it wasn't for him? I know people can be cruel, that's just the name of the game, but this...this just makes me angry. If any Indiana pony wants some back up to by a pony just let me know. I'll back you up all day! Dear Celestia I wish I could have been there. >:O
All things considered, if someone wanted to rough me up it'd be interesting. I'm not physically the strongest, but me and brother practice knife fighting with each other all the time, and I've learned a fair amount of military and Korean style tricks from that, and never leave the house without one. I might lose, I'll admit to that, but they ain't going to be happy with themselves. Self defense kids-Learn as much as you can!
i +1.000.000.000 this: What happened is terrible, it's unfair and sad and maddening and it just makes you want to yell at the world to grow up. I really hope this guy will be alright and get the support he deserves. But as terrible as it is, the sad truth is that these kind of things happen all the time. But what really shocked me was to see some of you get so incredibly vengefull. Didn't we agree on the futility of answering agression with agression? Like, especially internet agression? I'm sorry but I think that would be very wrong. These people should be jailed for doing something terrible to human being, not for doing something terrible to a brony. Please just drop this 'maffia of the internet' idea.
I hope that this sort of... persecution--seems like a funny term, even though it's sadly accurate--ends before long. I mean, legitimately, what if he was just buying it for a younger sister? That would make it even worse and it's completely plausible.
i want to post something loving and tolerant but all i can think about is how red that walmart would be if i was there and that means i need to switch to stronger medication
Now now. We should be controlling our anger, meeting violence with violence usually solves nothing. Let us be the better people and learn from this situation. There are other ways of dealing with these type of people.
I'm relatively good at dodging. I tend never to attack people unless absolutely neccessary. I like to let people wear out, and I smile when they collapse on the ground, restless. Human beings are so predictable... From behavior to physical movement. Sometimes, Force isn't even needed... Why do we have to attack those whom we do not agree with?
