"I wouldn't call it heartless, I imagine being a sureon would be hard emotionally especially if something goes wrong. It's probly better to picture things that way."
Aima glared angrily at Rex. "Excuse me? That's a pretty bold claim coming from the Pegasus who flunked flight school." She opened her mouth fully prepared to unleash a volley of insults on the blue pegasus, but caught herself before her temper blew out of proportion. "You're dodging my question."
"Hey now I wouldn't say I flunked..." *looks down feeling embaressed of his flaw* "I am not dodging your question! Ponies like you, ponies who plan out every little detail of their lives. You could never understand me."
Shield had seen his chance to learn about the other ponies, and he wasn't about to lose it just because some of the ponies here had quick tempers. He prepared to tell both Rex and Aima to stand down. But wait...perhaps this was his opportunity to glean some insight on their true personalities. Maybe, if he just left them to their own devices and didn't interfere, he would be able to see how they reacted to each other. The spy was bound to slip up sometime, and as soon as Shield saw somepony acting out of character, he would have his suspect. Not that that was much evidence, but almost everything here had to be determined a priori, unfortunately.
Aima bit her tongue fiercely as her rage began to boil under the surface of her composure. The taste of iron spread quickly across her mouth, and within seconds she could feel the dam that held her wrath back slowly quaking to and fro against the force which it opposed. "Are you just going to sit there and lie to my face?! You're blatantly avoiding my inquiries regarding your activities as a child! I'm afraid 'not worrying about the consequences of stuff' is much too general seeing as how we've all been there. Hell, do you even realize who you said that to?! I'm the one here who had her bloody eyeball plucked out of her skull in a schoolyard scuffle as a filly. Do you think I planned that? Do you think I planned on having my acquaintances make ridicule me for my entire childhood for wearing an eye patch? 'Oh look it's Aima! Yarr Harr Aima! About to go plunder some booty?' Do you think I planned that?! NO! I know about reckless abandon, don't you criticize me otherwise just because of some simple little hardships you've experienced in your past." Aima grit her teeth and panted as the last of her words spilled out. A trickle of blood dripped from her mouth and down her chin.

Teddy rolled over onto his back, placing his hooves under his head. He stared up at the ceiling, pondering as he listened to Aima and Rex squabble. Why would she insist upon information? Talking about each other spends time. It might reveal points of weakness, yes, but it also might not. It might just be intelligence gathering for another entity. For whatever reason, she might be forcing our life-stories out of us. But then, what to do with such information? Blackmail? Infiltration of our lives outside of this box? Or is someone really that desperate? Why kidnap us at all? We haven't got anything of any worth, it would seem. We're randomly chosen and unconnected. Rex doesn't seem like he's hiding anything. He doesn't seem like the type to be- "NO!" I, what, where, who, what?! Teddy look sharply to the side as he heard Aima's shout. He rolls to his stomach as she rages on at Rex, propping himself up onto his hooves as she continued to snarl at him, Rex readying his own retorts. "Hey! Everypony calm down, all right! We don't need a cage match in here!" He said, defensively raising a hoof. "How about you two cool off in an opposite corner?" So...Is this genuine pain and anguish, motive for her espionage or really good acting? This game sucks....
Shield was glad that Teddy had stepped in; he had been afraid that it might come to violence. Of course, he could have restrained them with magical barriers, but still...he disliked fighting. He felt a twinge of hatred toward the monster who had imprisoned them in here, and turned them against each other. What right did he have to toy with their lives? He watched as the two verbal combatants reluctantly marched to opposite corners of the room.
"I think your overreacting, sure she gets mad easy I should of chosen my words better maybe it could have been avoided. Nothing bad was gonna happin however."
Aima seethed in the corner. Strong senses of suspicion began to cloud her judgement as thoughts of rage brooded in her mind. 'That's the saboteur, there's no doubt about it. What reason would he have to avoiding my inquiry on a question as simple as that unless he had no way of answering it? That's the only truth here, that has to be it, that has to be-' she began thinking, but abruptly cut herself off. 'I musn't allow anger to fill me with bias, usually there'd be no harm in doing so but with lives other than mine at risk than it would only prove detrimental.' She let out a large breath in the corner and slowly began to calm down as the anger left her body. She wiped the blood from her chin.
Relieved that the situation seemed to subside for now, Teddy sat back down, breathing slowly. He needed something concrete here. They all did. How the hell would you get that sort of information out of a pony? Chronological theory? Like playing a game! This? Most difficult challenge to his imagination yet. Nothing has prepared him (or, indeed, anyone) for tricking information out of everyone. They just had to wait, it seemed. "All right, Rex." Teddy said. "I was just trying to make sure you weren't ripped to shreds. You can either thank me or sit down. I'd do both."
"thank you Teddy" *shakes his head* "call me crazy but i wanna talk to Aima some more" *slowly makes his way over to the other side of the room next to Aima*
Shield had been thinking (as usual) that perhaps Aima was innocent. Unless she was an expert actor, which he seriously doubted after that scene, she was a little unstable to be a good choice for a spy. However, he did not voice this opinion, as he had decided to not interfere unless the circumstances were dire.
Aima looked over at Rex. Her insides still boiled with rage as he approached her making her feel incredibly uneasy. She forced a smile. "It's fine, I'll cast away my anger for now. There's no point in misguided rage at a time such as this."
"I feel I should make things right with you, but it will make me look more suspicious. So you gotta promise it wont hurt you opinion of me. Truth is your right I was being vague because well I have no past I can't remember anything past a few years ago. Thats why I lied I knew it would be suspicious that I have no 'story'. That is the honest truth think of me what you want just please let's keep this between us is all I ask." *knows your probly still mad, leaves back to his corner of the room not wanting you to feel uneasy*
(G2g Getting late once more.) Teddy slumps forwards, landing heavily on the grey floor. "Now that that's sorted..." How could you solve the riddle without the knowledge there? The answer is to ask both guards what the other guard would say in regards to which door lead to Heaven. The liar would be forced to state the opposite of the truthful guard, who would tell you which door lead to Hell. The liar would also show you the door leading to Hell. You can then choose the opposite of their suggestion. But Teddy was struggling to make it work in the real world situation he was caught in. The 'guards' didn't know any more than Teddy did except the Liar. There wasn't any way of finding out who was telling the truthful here. The model doesn't work yet. Maybe another approach? Nah! Reworking of this model should be enough...Now....
Shield stood there, watching the three ponies interact. Observation is the only way to determine who the spy is. Observation of patterns and, more importantly, anomalies, he thought. And he knew that somewhere in the events that had just transpired, there was an anomaly. There had to be. The situation had been too heated, too fast-paced. That was when the spy would slip up. Shield was glad he had chosen to not interfere; this was very important information. Unfortunately, he still had to find the specific event in question, and even then, he could have made a mistake. This was why he did not like deduction. So many things could go wrong, whereas basing your conclusion off of facts meant that your conclusion had real information behind it. He needed to throw away his opinions of the other ponies and focus on their true personalities; why they did what they did, and how their actions were determined. After all, the spy had a life, feelings, a backstory just like them. Aima's burst of anger did not prove her innocence or guilt; she may have been truly angered by Rex's statement, even if she was the spy. The question here was 'why are they acting like they are?' and 'who is not acting like they should?', for he felt quite sure that the spy would act like they normally did, until a situation came up where they seemed guilty. Somewhere, in all of this, the spy had made a mistake. Somepony here has done something that they would only do if they were the spy...hmmm... he thought to himself.
(Nthitho, Darkshine, Doc, and Quill need to post :I. It'll be more fun that way. I mean, the way it's going now we have 5 people up for suspicion and 3 tries at getting it right. As much as I like those odds, it's not as entertaining. Could we do something with the extra weight, whether it be getting them to post or pronouncing their characters dead? Also, the interaction is dying quickly with the same 3 people talking to each other, we definitely need to get these guys involved if possible.)
(Hmm, maybe IF none of them was the spy, we could just give ourselves fewer tries... of course, that would be impossible to find out without ruining the game.)
