Tyler awoke and said something fast but by the sound of it it almost sounded like "QUICKSTAR" Tyler looked around for Quickstarr and when he found him he ushered Quickstar over to him
Narrowleaf began to rub his temples with his hooves. "...I can't think with this thing inside of me. I'm gonna go run ahead." He said, sneaking further into the maze ahead.
Quickstar had been so stunned by the fact that this maze somehow contained a replica of the entire town of Ponyville that by the time he saw the giant squid monster thing blocking their path, it had already started attacking. It didn't take a genius to realize that a head-on attack would be doomed to fail. As he rushed over in response to Tyler's cry, he glimpsed the bipolar pony out of the corner of his eye attempting to sneak past. Healing magic wasn't an area he had studied extensively, but he still knew a few basic spells, so he would be able to split his attention between the spell and the pony. Whether the bipolar pony succeeded or failed, his attempt would undoubtedly give insight into the creature's weaknesses.
Narrowleaf roared, rushing at the creature with his small switchblade. The squid-like creature kicked the unicorn aside, only to topple over. The ground broke from under it's massive weight, revealing a small spiraling staircase. The beast began to flail it's large limbs, screeching in anger. "Sh-Should we... Put it out of it's... misery...?" Narrowleaf asked, panting. "It might... get out soon..."
"No time!" shouted Quickstar. "Quickly, get past it while it's distracted!" He scooped Tyler up onto his back and charged at the path the monster had been blocking. Before he could reach it though, the entire town faded away leaving all of them back in the maze. A voice rich with amusement seemed to echo from thin air. "Oh, it's been such a long time since I've gotten a chance to let loose like this, I'd almost forgotten how fun a bit of chaos could be. And not only with Celestia's permission, but at her request?" Laughter echoed across the walls. "Admittedly, I probably should have remembered there was a basement there, but that made it that much better!" "But," the voice continued, so heavy with smugness that the smirk could actually be felt, "don't expect something like that to happen again. I intend to fully enjoy myself here, and the only thing your Princess insisted on was to not give you any impossible obstacles. There's still quite a bit of fun I can have with you..." With another sourceless cackle, the voice faded away.
Jack scowled at the voice, and, after ensuring the other four were all together, rushed at one of the walls, vanishing through it with a roar of anger.
"I would say no cause it might be a trap or something but anyway we should probably keep moving" Tyler said as he walked on. He thought in his head *im not sure if i should tell them my wish i mean... what if I dont win then they would never know but I guess if I know im gonna lose I could tell them*
Quickstar's gaze lingered on the wall for a moment before following. He really wanted to know how that pony was able to move through walls, but with Discord running this maze, he knew none of them could afford to move around on their own. I just hope that silent pony realizes that before it's too late...
