It's time for me to re-evaluate. Rarity / Rainbow Dash / Fluttershy / Pinkie Pie > Twilight Sparkle / Applejack I'm turning more communist as the days roll by.
Okay i can't compete with bamboo but for me it's 1st-Rainbow Dash,Fluttershy, Rarity, sweetie belle, Scootaloo 2nd- Twilight, Applejack, Pinkie pie, apple bloom 3rd- Tixie, Luna, Celestia, Lyra, Bon Bon. 4th-everypony else. I refuse to go lower then 4th place. I

Rarity>Applejack/Fluttershy>Twilight Sparkle>Pinkie Pie>Rainbow Dash Now from least to greatest: Rainbow Dash: She's not very considerate of anypony and while she is loyal that doesn't mean she's nice all the time. Having dealings with people of blunt nature (and sometimes just downright cruel) I can't really find much to like about Rainbow Dash. Her blunt-ness makes for some decent jokes like 20% cooler the only thing I can relate to with Rainbow Dash is the experiences I've had with people like her. These are not good experiences. Pinkie Pie: I can't relate...I can't even begin to try. I have very few experiences with people like her either. She sure is fun but I just can't quite love her. Twilight Sparkle: She's a bit TOO extreme on the studying, going so far as to constantly check a book on how to have sleepovers (not gonna lie that's still adorable). I love the way she can take charge in a desperate situation but she could stand to not hit the books so much. Fluttershy: I think everypony here knows how adorable she is so I'll skip that and just tell you what else I love about her. She's so nice to everypony. Even when she's angry she can't be mean, not even to the dragon (and I think that's why he was scared of her anger). Fluttershy is a dependable friend who will do what she can to help her friends even if it means doing something she hates like being in front of the camera. There's very little to dislike about Fluttershy, but that's why she doesn't make number one for me, she's almost too perfect. Applejack: Just like Fluttershy, Applejack has very few dislikable traits. She's strong, dependable, brave, honest, trustworthy, kind, and level-headed and she really looks after those she cares about (taking Fluttershy around the mountain because she was scared). I will agree with Bamboo here, she focuses way to much of her time on her business but that may be one of her very few flaws, like Fluttershy, she's almost too perfect. Rarity: I think the more time I spend here the more obvious it becomes obvious that I ADORE Rarity! She has the traits of a great friend. She's Dedicated, selfless, bold, outgoing, fun, strong, dependable, generous and kind. She also has quite a few flaws to balance out all her good traits, she's fussy, self-absorbed and sometimes a little TOO generous (cutting off her tail where the mustache would grow back faster, making horrible dresses that would be seen in public) she's not always honest but sometimes very sarcastic as well. She truly shined in "A Dog and Pony Show" for showing unexpected bravery and the ability to take care of herself. In "Suited for Success" her generosity came into play more than any other trait, she sacrificed not only her own art but also threw her career into jeopardy for the happiness of her friends, she also sang what was arguably the best song of the season. Rarity was also my most easily relateable character, going out of her way to please people. She stole my heart every time she made an appearance
Well first off I have to say I loves everypony, but if I had to choose it would go like this Fluttershy>Rainbow Dash>Applejack>Pinkie Pie>Twilight>Rarity I have always seemed to relate with Fluttershy the most and that is probably why she has always been my favorite. She is just so shy, nice, and of course cute no matter what she seems to be doing. I've always thought shyness is very cute too just adding to her cuteness. I actually like Rainbow for the opposite reason she has mostly traits that I don't have but many I would like to, and she is just a cool pony. Applejack is also a very likable pony so nice and always willing to help. She also is very stubborn and proud, and I adore her accent. (Even though it is very stereotypical) As for Pinkie she is just adorably silly and I am a bit random, but other than that she is very different from me. I have never been one for parties and definitely not as social. Twilight is a nice pony who wasn't very social like me, but my reason isn't really to study all the time. They somehow managed to turn her love of books into something adorable. Wanting to read on how to be a good runner? What a silly pony. And I love Rarity too, but I just seem to relate to her the least. But the fact the show made me like a that character is into fashion (I always see, to dislike that type of character) shows that she is a very nice and generous pony.
Fluttershy>Rainbow Dash>Applejack>Rarity>Pinkie Pie>Twilight Sparkle Pros: Fluttershy is just brimming over with submissiveness. Rainbow dash is effectively a superhero. Applejack is hard working and value-oriented. Rarity is a twist on a typical feminine character that works well. Pinkie pie is...wierd, in a funny way. Twilight Sparkle is a nerd trying to find her way in the world. Cons: Twilight Sparkle is just too much like me. Pinkie Pie is just comic relief and a moral archetype of not judging unusual people. Rarity is not the kind of character I can relate to. Applejack is a country pony and I live in the city so I can't really relate to her that much. Rainbow Dash is all about winning. Fluttershy is a bit too meek.
IMO: Fluttershy>Pinkie Pie>Twilight Sparkle>Rainbow Dash>Applejack>Rarity Fluttershy: She's adorable, kind, and clever. I can relate to her because I will do just about anything to stand if for my friends. Pinkie Pie: She's the funniest of the mane ponies, and she's almost always in a good mood. Her character also has a lot of depth, which I like a lot. We can really tell how she got to the way she is, and what she had to deal with as a filly. Twilight Sparkle: I didn't like her at first, but she's really grown on me. She seemed like the typical mane character and leader, and she seemed to me like a stick in the mud. But since the sleepover episode, I've liked her a lot more. She's a pony with simple pleasures, and I can definitely relate to that. Rainbow Dash: She's not like any other pony that you'd expect to see on a MLP show. She isn't super girly, and she sticks to trying to get to that one goal she's always wanted. But, her competitive attitude can get to her. I don't really like the fact that being cool is her mane priority, but she is still a great character. Applejack: I love Applejack, but her character doesn't have that much depth. She's just an average pony that works hard, and cares for her friends. I saw a little bit more depth to her when in Apple-Buck Season, but other than that you don't really get to see that much into who she truly is. Rarity: Don't get me wrong, Rarity is a total sweetheart. I just don't relate to her very well. I don't want her to change one bit, but I just can't put myself in her position.
I'll list my top five. If I'd list more I'd have Rarity as 6 and Applejack as 7. 5. Pinkie Pie A really nice, kind pony. Stands out a lot. Pros: Hyperactive Fun personality Very kind Cons: Breaks the laws of physics (Not sure if that's good or bad) 4. Fluttershy She's cute, but that's about all she has going for her (enough for fourth slot, though). Pros: Cute as hay Too kind Cons: Too kind Shyness can only take you so far 3. Pinkamena I consider this split personality an entire different pony. The fan-based material solidifies her as third. I welcome chaos in such a peaceful world with open arms. Pros: Crazy (I like crazy) Cons: She can always change back 2. Ditzy Doo I base the majority of my affection towards Ditzy on fan work. I like the pony she's become in our domain. Pros: Very nice Silly Cons: Can be klutzy (though this always ends up making things funner) 1. Twilight Sparkle I love this pony. Pros: Adorable Intellectual Cons: Can't think of anything I dislike about her.
Artanis186: Nice one! I like how you were detailed yet succint. I don't see that much going on about Pinkie's sad self. But it'd be nice if her hair for once was sleeky while she was happy. I can imagine that happening, say, in her marriage - LULWUT?!
I find this rather difficult, as there's no pony that I dislike, and they're all really close together. Buut, I guess it would looks something like this: Rarity / Rainbow Dash > Applejack / Pinkie Pie > Fluttershy / Twilight Twilight started out as my favorite pony, but eventually that diminished, as she doesn't have much that's interesting about her, and as what could technically be considered the main character, this is displayed quite often. I still like her, though, just now she's pretty uninteresting. While adorable at times, and occasionally hilarious, Fluttershy is particularly static, as the same few details that are the only things let loose from her shy and quiet personality are continuously shown. However, she's still fun and cute, and amazing when she goes insane or shows traits from her subtle submit-to-me-or-I-will-eat-your-face side. Pinkie Pie, while very entertaining at times, can tend to get annoying. However, more often than not, she's very fun, especially toward the latter half of the season. Applejack has a very good, honest working personality and has a good sense of right and wrong, which I consider valuable. It can get annoying with how much the things she does are associated with work, though. I really, reeeaally like those with an outgoing, loyal, brave and energetic personality like Rainbow Dash, which is why she's one of my favorites. Sometimes aspects of this can get irritating, but to me, this is rare. :33 And lastly, Rarity, who is one of my favorites, tied with Rainbow Dash. Rarity started out pretty close to the bottom for me, but she eventually became, well, pretty ossim, especially when she showed to be able to psychologically kick ass.
for me fluttershy, pinkie pie, rainbowdash, rarity, twilight sparkle, applejack i really like characters that follow the "have a soft voice and carry a big stick" kind of personality. shure she is usually shy, quiet and out of the way but she has shown on many occasions that when it really came down to it that under that delicate exterior can be a spine of reinforced steel. to put it simply, come took a loony toon and turned them into a pony and called her pinkie pie, and thats just awesome. i would soo watch her chase a road runner. rdash is a driven athletic jock that rocks a mullet with with pride (i dont care what people says, thats a mullet) and yes shes a braggart, but shes a braggart cause shes always working on her flying and learning new trick, between naps of course. oh and another thing, look for other characters with her personality, i bet most of them are bullies that smash up nerds or taking you women, thus making rdash rather refreshing to me. rarity is a smooth cunning and creative character. she does her job well and takes pride in it, uses wit to solve her problems and easily the best singing voice of the whole group. id like her more if she would resolve that crush ordeal with spike, she too smart not to know whats going on and she should have sat him down and talked to him about it by now. honestly, i have no idea why miss sparkle is this far down the list. maybe shes too boring? maybe i feel like that she had more to her in one point put got it taken off. maybe its because i like sorceresses and shamen more than wizards (which twilight clearly is)? i say make her 20% snarkier and maybe ill like her better. im sorry, i want to like applejack more, i really do, but applebuck season destroyed the character for me. calling addition "fancy math" and not knowing that shes only halfway through an orchard THAT SHES LIVED ON MOST OF HER LIFE. i know its the funnest moment in the episode, but im sorry i cant get over that.
Fluttershy > Pinkie Pie > Rainbow Dash > Rarity > Twilight Sparkle > Applejack I identify with Fluttershy the most...I love animals and am rather shy myself ( though I seem to be breaking out of my shell recently ). And she's just too adorable for words <3 Pinkie Pie used to be one of my least favorites...but I've grown to adore her almost as much as Fluttershy X3 Rarity and Rainbow Dash may possibly be switching places on my favorites though...I'm not sure yet ^^; Twilight is pretty cool...she frustrates me sometimes though lol XD; Applejack...meh...she doesn't interest me that much....
