"Nope," she said cheerfully, taking his hand and leading him out of the house. "That's the point of being spontaneous."
She led him into the woods again, her feet finding the steps in the ground easily. "I know where we're going now," she told him as they walked.
"There's this old, abandoned, two-story house out here," she said. "Rumor has it that it is haunted."
She cocked her head. "I'm not really a spiritual person," she said with a shrug. "I wish I was. But I think that when we die, that's it."
"Oh, I don't know," she said with a slight shrug. "I think it's kinda beautiful, in a way. I don't have eternity, you know? I only have this life. I can't afford to waste it, because it will be, quite literally, the only thing I ever have."
