Class Dismissed (One-on-One)

She squinted at him.

"That sounds too easy."

 

She rolled her eyes and sighed, although there was amusement in her tone.

"Fine. Thank you," she said with a bright smile, her dimples exposed with the action. "Is that better?"

 

"That felt wrong," she said, dropping the smile with a shudder.

 

"That," she said. "Exactly. I need to accept my compliments with a healthy dose of humiliation."

 

She gave him a genuine smile this time.

"Thank you."

 

She met his gaze for a moment before hastily looking down at her notebook.

"Ahem. We should write up the materials list."

 

"We probably don't need much," she said thoughtfully. "A data sheet, clip board, and some test subjects."

 

"Well, we should probably do some background research," she said thoughtfully. "I can do that tonight."

 

"That would be perfect," she replied with a nod. "I'll try and get a lot of stuff done as well."

 

"You have a weird definition of fun," she said, squinting at him.
