"Hm. Evan?" she teased.
"You're dad wouldn't like that."
"You seem to think that my dad is more uptight than he is," Poppy said, cocking her head.
"I might just be thinking your dad is like mine," he said. "Guess not."
"Didn't we already establish that we're not related?" she asked with a smile.
"Yeah," he said, "but I was just saying."
She paused, and a concerned expression crossed her face. "Is your dad uptight?"
"Yeah," he admitted. "A bit."
She cocked her head. "I'm sorry."
"You don't have to apologize."
A small smile played on the corner of her lips. "We've established this; yes I do."
He squinted at her, but sighed. "Alright, fine."
"What about your mom? What's she like?"
"She's nice," he answered. "Good mom."
Poppy smiled, her head resting on her hand. "That's good. She isn't as hard on you?"
"No," he said. "She still wants me to do good, though."
"Naturally," Poppy said with a nod. "Hm. So it's just your parents and you and Miles?"
"Yeah. I can't say it's as impressive as your family."
She laughed lightly. "My family isn't exactly impressive... Six children isn't that many."
"Six children is a lot," he said. " In my opinion, at least."
