She laughed lightly, wiping away the tears on her face. She paused, and leaned back. "Christ. I'm really am sorry, Francis."
"Oh, right," she said. "That's what I was planning to do in here too. But... I don't know. I don't think I can come to school for a while."
"But..But.." she protested, "that's a lot of work for you. I was going to do half of the tests. Maybe I can do them at home?"
"I'll do that," she said decisively, her posture becoming more relaxed as the conversation turned to an area she was comfortable in. "It would be good to get a variety of ages anyway."
"I'd imagine younger people would mimic more," she said thoughtfully, "because they haven't established themselves as much."
"Yes! Oh, and we need to establish the variables," she said thoughtfully, her eyes brightening. "I can write a rough draft of those out tonight and send it to you."
"Good. This is exciting!" she said. She seemed to be lighter and less worried when she spoke about science. "It's going to be fun."
"Oh! And we can test how the relationship between the test subject and the tester affects the data. Francis, we have a really cool project!"
