"Oh, I almost forgot!" Ryh held out a foam cup with a steaming hot cup of spice coffee, "for the road."
"Ah! I knew you cared." Deo took the coffee and took a swig. Piping hot. Just the way he liked it. "Perfect. Thank you." "It's been a time. Not sure when I'll get to come back, so until then, see ya. He'll probably be back by the end of the week." The two made their way to the door.
A few moments after those two left, two horse-like creatures walked in. One was a bit taller than four feet, dark green coat, very thin, crimson dreadlocks, a headband keeping its hair out of its eyes, a big, crimson tail, wings, and scarlet eyes. The other was about three quarters the size of the green one, blue, with a short tail, no mane, wings, a horn, and sky blue eyes. The green one spoke in a feminine voice, "Dude, I feel out of place. What are we doing here?" The blue one simply shrugged.
They approached the bar. The mare had a constant laid back smile on her face, while the little one's face seemed almost expressionless. The mare said, "We don't see humans much, either. I'll take a glass of red wine, sir." The short one asked in a clearly masculine voice, "Could I have a shot of rectified spirit?" They both sat in a stool, the mare leaning forward slightly with her forelegs crossed on the bar, the short one sitting upright as if he were sitting on the floor. (Note: rectified spirit is the stuff that Everclear is, 190 proof.)
"Here you are," he said, "and here you are." He mused at the rectified spirit order, it wasn't one he recieved often, as the bottle was dusty and only slightly less than full. "Finest vintage in Equestria, so i am told," he said.
"Please, I'm immortal." Mortis chugged down the small vial in one go. Alex gave a slight cough. "Just because you /think/ you're immortal doesn't mean you are." Mortis gave a few coughs at the strongness of the drink, as he looked at Ryh and chuckled a bit. "Gives a big kick, doesn't it. Reminds me of that drink I had in the Underworld. Just... times the strength by about eight." Mortis looked over at the two Equines, for a moment, then looking back at Alex. He opened his mouth for a split second, then sighed. "Damn... I'm getting a telepathic message, you getting it?" Alex stood up, putting his money on the table for his and Mortis's drinks, plus enough for any more drinks that Mortis would have. Then he walked towards the exit. "Yeah. I know, Gemini wants to see me. Thanks for the drinks and conversation." Alex walked out of the bar, disappearing in a flash of gold light. Mortis cackled a bit. "Saiki man, always calling everyone for one person. Man... he's also very scary."
The blue one picked up his glass with magic and downed the shot. It was a pleasant burn, he seemed unphased. The mare picked up her glass with her hoof... somehow... smelled the wine, and took a sip. "This, sir, is... well I don't know how to talk fancy, dude, but this is good wine." The blue one introduced the two, "This is Maya, and you can call me Dusty." Dusty raised his hoof for a shake, but then hesitated due to the fact that humans tended to have odd health regulations. Maya turned to the one she had nicknamed in her mind Gold Dude and asked, "Whoa, what was that all about?"
Mortis rubbed his forehead slowly. "He got a telepathic message from well, one of us Gold Saints. Something about a talk. Talks don't really go well. Anyways..." Mortis tapped the large packet of money that his fellow Gold Saint left behind. "Capricorn Alex apparently planned for me to drink more. He can be nice after all. Let's see, got any extra strong tequila?"
"That dude looked like a hardflank. But you seem alright! I bet you're a blast." "I suppose it would," Dusty replied to Ryh. "Social skills are important when you have to socialize. Another shot, please?"
"Well, he's one of the more serious ones... I just do whatever I want to do." Mortis would then stretch out his arms, putting his hands behind his head, his 'crab-like' golden helmet shining a bit as he leaned back. "Though he's not the hardest person I know. He's going to get in trouble~"
"Oh, so you're like us. We're gonna get along, Gold Dude, I can already tell." Maya liked new people, and this one seemed to be pretty chill, not taking things more seriously than necessary. "You know," said Dusty, "something tells me 'getting in trouble' is a traumatic experience for you Saints."
"It depends on the situation. He'll be fine... It's not like he's going to get in a fight with Hades or whatever. Unless that's his next mission, but they'd be dumb to throw just one Gold Saint at a god."
"Careful," said Dusty, "You might jinx your comrade." "Not sure who this Hades guy is, but your friend looked like he could handle him." Maya sipped on her wine some more, half wondering if she should challenge Gold Dude to a drink-off.
Root tilted her head the blue pony, and got close to him, inspecting his face. "You're kind of scary. Are you rich?" She asked, and backed away.
