Josephine takes the phone "Hello sir, this is Dean Josephine of the college, what your daughter said is right, my dear niece was very nearly raped by her ex boyfriend on campus, we don't completely trust the campus security to do a proper job, and as you are my niece's closest friend's father, we trust you a whole lot more. Could you please come to college dorm so we can get this sorted out?" she asks
The man, whose name was Copper Lining, stood up and he nodded, "Of course ma'am. I'll be there the moment that I can. I'll sign in as Copper Lining, I'll be there in about a half hour." He said, standing up and hanging up. Quillina gave Seraphima another hug.
Josephine sighs and hangs up "your father will be here in half an hour" she says as she goes to the mirror and straightens herself out Seraphima snuggles up to Quillina and sighs
Quillina yawned and she snuggled Seraphima again. She giggled and laid her head in her lap, stroking her head and yawned a little bit, smiling widely.
(Is Copper single? i was thinking that maybe Josephine and Copper hit it off and stuff?) Seraphima sighs a little as she starts to relax a little and smiles slightly up at Quillina
(Yep, he's divorced) Quillina tried to keep the blush from her face as she gave her a tiny kiss on the head, "listen, it'll be okay. We're here, alright?"
(ooh perfect XD) Josephine continued to fix herself up, "That's right dear, we're all here and i am sure mr Lining will do a excellent job" she hums a little tune, this tune was the lullaby that Sera's mother used to sing to Sera when she was little. Seraphima then sighed softly and begun to close to her eyes.
"I know that one." Quillina smiled and began to sing the same song, as her mother used to sing it to her when she had bad dreams. She satisfied her growing urge by stroking her hair and slowly letting Seraphima fall into a deep sleep.
Jenna looks at Josephine "sister, this is not a date, please stay focused", Josephine then smiles at her "I know, but it doesn't hurt to make a good impression, right?" Seraphima was then in a deep sleep. She was relaxed and feeling happy now. She felt safe, the three people that she loved, was surrounding her and keeping her safe.
Quillina continued to hug her and smile widely, singing a comforting song to her as she held Seraphima in her arms like that. It felt right to her. Copper soon showed up and gently knocked on their door.
Sera lets out a little soft sigh. Josephine smiles and goes to the door, she opens it to see Copper there, and trying hard to hide her blush, she quickly ushers him in. "She's over there, in your daughter's lap." She says with a sigh of relief, she quickly looks around the corridors before closing the door.
Quillina help Seraphima even tighter now, stroking her hair softly and singing the gentle song even more so now. She looked up to her father, "The dean is working on tracking him down right now." "Could you wake her up for me?" He asked, leaning in gently and stroking the side of her head soothingly, as though she were a small child. He knew how to handle these situations: this wasn't the first and definetly not the last. Quillina nodded and leaned down, "Sera? Sera please wake up."
As he did that, Josephine smiled "so good with children, both young and old" she whispers to herself Sera slowly opens her eyes "Y..yes? w..why did you s..stop singing?" she asks
Copper sat down beside her nd he smiled, "Hello Seraphima, I'm Copper Lining, Quillina's father. I'm a police officer downtown, and I wanted to just see if I could help you in any way possible." He gave a small handshake and Quillina sat her up. "So tell me, how do you like college so far?" He asked, taking out a tiny notepad.
Sera eeps a little "Q..Quilly's daddy!? Quill, you d....didn't say your daddy was...was a cop.." she stutters then gathers her bearings "a..apart from my ex boyfriend, college is going well. I practically grew up here though. My aunts adopted me when...when mummy and daddy died in a car accident" Josephine smiles
"I'm so sorry to hear that." He whispered, holding her hand as though she was his own daughter, "Listen, I know you and Quillina are really close here. So I'm going to do everything I can to help you, alright? All I need is his name and we'll handle the rest." Quillina smiled and hugged Seraphima again.
Sera nods "h...his name is Julian Sunderland" she says shyly. Josephine sighs "he's always been a trouble maker but this is over stepping it. Sir, please we don't want this happening again"
He nodded and wrote the name down, then he made a quick call to his station. He nodded, "They'll be here soon. Don't worry, he'll be facing some charges." He stood up and walked over to Josephine, "Will you show me to the enterance? I got lost on the way in." Quillina smiled and hugged her again, stroking and singing again.
Josephine nods "thank you sir and certainly." As she begins to lead the way she smiles "I really appreciate Quillina being my niece's friend. I fear if it wasn't for her, Sera may have done something very drastic. She's very timid and fragile"
"I'm very proud of her." He smiled, "She's a fine mare, even without her mother." He sighed, "She grew up all on her own through that mess..." Quillina smiled and laid Seraphima down, singing a little softer now.
