Josephine nods "You can spend the night at my cottage tonight..if you want t..that is" she says with a slight blush as she picks her own menu up and looks over it "ooh this looks delicious" she says with a smile, "i think I will have the King Prawn meal, what about you dear?"
He let out a miniature groan of sleep deprivation, but turned it into a cough to save face. "Hmm... same thing you're having I guess. It looks about as good as anything else on this menu."
The waitress promptly took their orders and left to work on their orders. Copper smiled to Josephine, "so... is this the part where we talk about our likes and dislikes and argue over the bill?"
Josephine giggles a little, "well, if you want to dear." she went and touched his paws again "Well as for my likes, teaching is obviously a passion of mine, but other than that, i sometimes volunteer at the animal shelter, i love listening to music and singing." she begins
"To be honest, being a policeman wasn't my first choice of work." He blushed, "I was looking to be a writer, but I wasn't able to find enough work. I couldn't afford it so I went to training and here I am. Other than that pretty much everything you said." He giggled.
Josephine smiles "you did what you believed to be the best for you and Quillina. That's what matters dear." she smiles at him, "Dislikes well..you've already witnessed one of my strongest dislikes, other than that, cruelty towards children and animals, and being alone" she sighs at the last part
"Well... I think we're really getting in the same boat right now." He blushed harder, smilng at her, "Really, me and you are getting a little... well eerily similar." He gently held her paw agian, not sure if she minded or not.
She smiles at him "it is true, we are very similar, but is that such a bad thing?" she smiles still, gazing into his eyes, "Copper, I..I've been alone for so long." she blushes "a..and when I saw you...my heart skipped a beat...I..."
"I will admit we're probably going a little fast... but I don't mind." He wrapped his paws around her, smiling a little bit. "I'll be here for you, alright?" He gave her cheek a kiss.
She blushes and smiles, returning the kiss "They say that true love has no boundaries and I have always believed it" she says, wrapping her tail with his, "Copper, I.." she blushes "I just want you to know that I think you've done such a wonderful job with raising Quillina, she is so strong and yet so kind and caring, just like you...Jenna and I...we try our best with our niece but...she is as delicate and fragile as a flower, like her mother was, she needs...she needs a good protector...like..like.."
"A father." He smiled, then he stood up and he sat on the same side as her, gently pulling her into a tiny hug, "It's alright Josey. I get it." He blushed as he accidently nicknamed her; he hoped she didn't mind.
She giggles "Josey, I like that" she says, "But the only thing, she loves your Quilly, and I know she loves her back..what are we going to do?" she says as she snuggles deep into the hug.
"Honestly I always did think that Quillina was lesbian... I honestly don't mind." He whispered, "And Quillina would wait even longer than she would to even go past kissing and cuddling. She's a scardey cat around sex."
"I wasn't speaking about that dear, I'm fine with them being lesbian lovers, but it's not that..i mean...you and me...sure I'm not Sera's mother but I am her guardian, does that mean, they can still be together with you becoming like a father to her?"
He blinked and he gave a small nod, "It would be awkward for them, yes. But I think that I could help her. I mean, technically I woudln't be her stepfather, I'd be her step grandpa. Then I'd be able to help her without it looking like our daughetrs are incesting."
"Stepuncle, I'm not that old" Josey giggles and nuzzles him as their meals arrive, she smiles and thanks the waitress. She smiles as she smells the food "mm ooh this smells delicious"
"Well I'm only around fourty. I forgot exactly how old. Quillina probably knows." He smiled and he picked up the fork. He speared a small bit of the dish and he lifted it up, "Open wide."
Josey opens wide and takes a bite "mmm delicious" she returns the favor 'open wide, my love" she says with a smile
He giggled and opened his own, taking the bite. He swallowed and gave her a long cheek kiss, "Pretty good." He wrapped his paw around her own, then used the other to start eating his own dish.
