Not everyone has 10 bros willing to chip in to purchase really expensive software. Grey, you could also try this: http://www.pencil-animation.org/
That is actually the first one I linked to, but it's a beta version the latest version on their has no useful working exports 0o
Well... I was messing with it and there is ONE thing I could do... It saves each frame as a gif in a folder... And I have Gimp. So... If I use those gifs in GIMP I think it could work. Of course... that Pencil program gives you the option to save it as a file that's readable by flash... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnddddddddddddddd... Jaret has Flash... But I wouldn't want to bother him with something like that... Unless y'all have a better program to use for the animations... I think I'm going to use that pencil program for a while.
Swf format is pretty useful for animation stuff, most animations you see that aren't GIF files are swf format (what you said), even youtube videos are saved as flash
I'm an idiot... I can still upload that swf into youtube right? Even though I don't have a program that can read it?
Hmmmmm idk if you can upload it directly to youtube, but I know youtube converts to flash (I don't know if it's swf directly, but I do know it's flash and I'm not sure if there's other formats) to store the videos and play them back
As far as I can tell the .swf export is broken, it should work in all browsers (just think of flash game sites) but here it just comes up as bunch of file code :/ On the beta version I linked you can export as a .avi (flash movie file) which will run in windows media player just fine and I believe can be uploaded to youtube (if not your sure to find a converter). If you have DivX it will try to open the .avi but fail, use windows media player and if you get the .swf working plz tell
I can get the .swf to work in an Internet Explorer window, but I don't know how to actually get it onto the internet. Photobucket recognizes it as a .swf but I can only upload it if I have a PROaccount.
DA supports swf files Aside from that, there's sites that just host tons of random swf loops (though I don't particularly remember their names) Also Grey was considering make swf a viable upload format here, but of course the implications of that are a little odd
:O IT WORKS!!! LINK TO A .swf SO!!! Since I can just save the thing without having to actually have something that can open the file, I can now start up some VERY rough animations.
Awesome, yeah you could use a little practice (by the way make sure you set the fps field (bottom right corner) appropriately!). 24-30fps Fully fools the eye, but a lower fps = less time spent animating ^^ Yeah about that, it's not going to happen due to the fact that actionscript (coded in flash to .swf files) can be used maliciously over the web and apparently has the "potential" to cause some nasty things to the site and any content stored upon it - I don't know all the technical details but simply put it'd be a potential security risk and here at Everypony I like to think our slav- registrars are in good hands and trust us to keep them happy, safe and feeling secure! I could however, make them a viable* upload to the downloads section? *Download at your own risk
