Convention Mashup

"And once again city of Townsville was saved by our three little heroes!" The narrator on the TV show says.

"Spike, can you please turn down the volume on TV, I'm trying to study here!" Shouts out the purple pony from room on the upper room. As Spike's show ends he comes around to Twi's room to check out what's up with her.

He's wearing a white t-shirt with a picture of 3 little girl super heroes. "What?", asks Spike as Twilight looks at his t-shirt with disapproval.

"Aren't you little too old for this?" asks the purple pony, "No! And beside, Pinkie Pie is almost your age, and she still watches same the kind of cartoons like I do."

Twilight just rolls eyes and says: "Fine... but can you please keep it down, I'm doing an important study here." As she says that, Spike hears something from downstaris and runs to the TV.

"...and don't forget, today in Ponyville only, you have a chance to meet the creator of your favorite shows, only on this year's CartoonCon Equestria!" narrator on TV commercial says.

"CartoonCon is today!" shouts out Spike in excitement that he'll have chance to meet the creator of his favorite shows. "Can we go please, please, please, please?!" Spike jumps around Twi in excitement. "Ugh... fine....", says Twi, not excited at all about up coming convention in Ponyville.

Spike jumps from happiness and goes to his room to pack his backpack. "Come on Twi, we're gonna be late!" shouts little dragon.
"Ok, ok, just let me pack few things..." Shouts purple pony back to Spike as she packs few books into her saddlebag so she can study during the convention.

As Twi finishes her packing, she comes downstairs to find Spike swinging from his heels to toes, anxious to get going. She also notices that his backpack seems oddly full.
"What do you got back there?", asks Twi slightly smiling. "Oh, I just packed few snacks and candy for the convention", says Spike standing by the open door waiting for Twi to get out of the library.

"Stop eating that fast, think of the tummy ache you had last time", says Twilight, little bit irritated that she had to break up her studies for something silly and childish as cartoon convention, as little dragon was popping candy into his mouth one after another. "Oh, come on Twilight, loosen up a little bit, beside what's cartoon convention without candy?", says the little dragon.

"You have to be more mature if you want to...", as Twilight says that to Spike, she bumps into somepony in front of the convention hall. "I say, that's rather unusual way to bump into somepony, I'm really sorry miss", says colt that Twi just bumped into. Twilight scratches her head: "oh, that's fine, I'm sorry.." as Twi brings up her head and sights handsome unicorn colt that she has bumped into and momentarily goes silent leaving her mouth open as someone has paused her in time when she was saying her sorry.

"Oh, Spike, nice to see you, you're going to the convention as well?" says colt that Twi has bumped into.
"Yeah, it's gonna be best convention ever!" Spike shouts out in excitement.

Spikes looks at Twi for a moment: "Oh, Itey, meet Twilight, Twilight, meet Itey" says Spike.
Twi puts hoof in front for hoof shake: "Um... nice to ... um... meet you... I'm.... I'm...I'm Twilight Sparkle.. hehe", Twilight says that very nervously and starts to giggle nervously. "I'm Itey, nice to meet you Twilight."
"Oh, call me Twi", says Twilight slightly blushing now. "Oh, ok Twi", Itey sincerely laughs, "You're big cartoon fan as well, I suppose".
"Oh, well, to be perfectly honest...", sights Spike, "I think she kinda hates...mmppphhh...mmmpphhh" "hate that they air cartoons only 5 times a day, I mean really, you can't get enough cartoons, cartoons cartoons cartoons, that's what I'm all about", Twilight says nervously trying to seem nice, trying hard to smile, and slightly starting to sweat, as she zips Spike's mouth with magic.

"Where do you know him from?" Twi asks Spike, whispering as rainbow pony was doing tricks in air that caught Itey's attention. Spike zip opens his mouth: "I met him when I was on that meeting in Canterlot, you know when there was that big storm in Ponyville. He was holding presentation about applied physics in magic. He was wearing a cartoon t-shirt so, it turned out that he also likes cartoons".

"Wait, he's a scientist too?!" Twi asks Spike, now getting little bit more excited" "Yeah, I guess so..." says the little dragon. "So, Spike, did you watch latest episode of The Powerpuff girls today?" Itey asks Spike as rainbow pony goes out of sight.

"Yeah, it was awesome, one of the best episodes yet", says Spike.
Twilight notices Iteys cutie mark and asks: "Um, what does your cutie mark represent?"
"Oh, this old thing?" Itey looks at his snowflake cutie mark, "Oh, I just love snowboarding. I'm from Canterlot and you know there's snowy mountains near Canterlot." "Oh, you're from Canterlot?!" Twilight says in excitement, "I'm from Canterlot too."

"I know, in one of my studies I was studying elements of harmony and came across information about you and your friends defeating Discord, so I came across some background info on you as well, hehe", Itey giggles little bit nervously.

"Oh well, there's gonna be a competition on convention where you can meet the creators of some cartoons. I'd really like to thank them for creating such great shows, but I don't have partner for the competition... you know, because you play in teams..." says Itey. Twilight gets excited and her eyes get very big as Spike starts rolling eyes seeing where this is going: "Well, I don't have partner either so,..." Twilight gets interrupted: "Oh hi Twilight! I can be your pony game partner, come on!", says pink pony dressed up in completely blue costume, as she grabs Twilight and drags her up to the sign up desk.

"Pinkie noooo!" shouts Twilight. Itey and Spike are left standing, stunned by surprise appearance of Pinkie Pie. "So.. I suppose you don't have partner now, don't you Spike?" says Itey. "Um... well, we can enter competition together if you want to" says, still bit confused Spike. "Sure!" says Itey in apporoval and sings up Spike and himself as a team to the competition.

"Oh, that Pinkie Pie, if only I had chance to play together with Itey." Twi thinking silently, "He's handsome, smart, loves science and magic, and apparently athletic,... after all, his special talent is sport.... I wish I had chance to meet him closely", Twilight starts to smile a little bit as she day dreams.

"I see that you're smiling because round one is about to start!", shouts out the pink pony, breaking up Twi's daydream. "What??" Twi asks as she finds herself in front of the quiz desk. "How did we?? weren't we??" Twilight starts mumbling in confusion as she doesn't know how she got up to the stage in front of the quiz desk at the convention. "Anything's possible when you know shortcuts around Ponyville's convention hall" *giggles out pink pony as Twilight rolls eyes.

As she starts to look around, she spots Spike and Itey behind the quiz desk on the other side of still dark stage.
Itey saw Twi spotted him and Spike, smiles and waves to Twilight and Pinkie Pie. Twi shyly smiles and waves, as Pinkie Pie sends out sharp competitive look towards Spike and Itey.

"Welcome to the CartoonCon competition, competition where you can meet the creator of your favorite shows", says show's host pony as stage lights up and spotlights of various colors land on teams standing in front of quiz desks, "for first round, we'll have Top Toon Trivia, series of questions for earning points. First team to press answer button on desk gets chance to answer the question. First question, are you ready competitors?" asks host as Twi, Pinkie, Itey and Spike nod and members of third team shout: "Cutie mark crusaders, Cartoon Quiz ponies", Crusaders shout and high hoof each other.

"Ok... I think that means everypony is ready.." says host little bit stunned by Crusaders's enthusiasm, "First question: Which known cartoon character spent a whole episode of a show, investigating a prank, only to do the same prank himself?"

Twilight instantly hits answer button before anypony else, but as she rethinks the question, she realizes she doesn't know the answer, because, well, she though cartoons are silly and childish, and never actually watched them.

"Um... ughh....", Twi starts to mumble as she starts to sweat and Pinkie Pie looks at her expecting answer, since she pressed the button. Twi looks towards Itey, and sees nod of approval for Twi, basically saying with mimics: "go on, have a go". "Um.." one name of what she think was cartoon prankster comes to Twilight's mind, "Lazlo?".

"Oh, come on! I'm dressed as him!" Pinkie Pie shouts as buzzing sound gets off.
"Wrong, correct answer is Blooregard Q. Kazoo, also known as Bloo, and please, after answer has been given, no more shout outs." host pony looks at Pinkie.

"Ups, sorry, my bad." says the pink pony and smiles, as her purple team mate blushes hard and sinks a little bit under the desk with her eyes only being above the table. Twi looks across the studio towards Itey and Spike.

As Twi looks towards him, Itey whispers to Spike: "Your friend Twilight sure is one cute pony", and giggles as Spike slightly rolls eyes again.

"Oh, no, he's laughing at me, I've surely lost my chances now", thinks Twi to herself, and puts on a sad face. As Itey sees Twi got a bit sad, he whispers to Spike: "Boy, she must be used to get all questions right, since one little wrong answer can get her looking so sad. She must be a really smart pony." "She's smartest pony you'll ever find", Spike says proudly.

Till end of round, Pinkie Pie answered all questions for her team, ending the round in second place, right after Itey and Spike's team in first place. As stage got dark again, Twilight heads to the exit door with her head down. Pinkie Pie rushes to her: "Wait, where are you going?, stage for round 2 is that way", the pink pony points towards big house built on stage.

"Yes, we're on second place, but we can still win this, and I won't give away a chance to meet such famous pony to baby dragon and some little pony!" says Pinkie Pie, as putting sweating track over her head. "Pinkie, Itey is as big as you are, and Spike is your friend. And besides, I know almost nothing about cartoons, we have no chance to win", says Twilight as she's willing to give up.

"But I know something, and with my knowledge of cartoons and your brains, we're sure to win, surely you had some stage fever on round 1, but I'm sure you'll get over it once you get more into the game." Says the pink pony trying to get Twilight cheered up and back in game.

"Besides, in next game you can use your find spell to find items we need, and I can tell you what we're looking for." Twilight thinks for a moment, and decides to join Pinkie Pie back in the game. "I just hope I won't look like even bigger fool" Twi thinks skeptical of herself in her mind.

Powerful reflectors light up tall model of house from a cartoon. "Welcome, mares and gentle colts to round 2 of our game. In this round, each team will help Eduardo (from Foster's home for imaginary friends) find his “guys” around the house. Team with most “guys” on the end of the game wins", says host of the game to the crowd looking at the house and 3 teams standing in front of the house.

"We're looking for stuffed animals and plushies", Pinkie Pie whispers to Twi. "I just hope I can do "find it" spell good enough to find plushies, only time I used that spell was to find gems when we were searching for Rarity."

Buzzer sound gets off signaling start of the game. "And they are off", says host addressing the now wide crowd of ponies and other creatures that like cartoons and games.

"This house is like a labyrinth inside, and not only our competitors have to find Eduardo's toys, but also not get lost in that big old house".

Inside the house Twilight glows her horn and it starts to drag her towards one case. Pinkie Pie opens the case to find one plushie, "Jackpot!", shouts out the pink pony.
"If we continue like this we're sure to win". Twilight smiles in hope that she can fix her ruined impression from the round 1 and starts running around the house pointing positions of plushies and stuffed animals as Pinkie follows her and throws toys into a saddle basket. In one room as Twi points under the bed, she bumps heads with another unicorn.

"Ouch!" shout both unicorns. Twi looks up to see Sweetie Belle using the same spell she she learned from Rarity. Twi brings up stuffed pony from under the bed using her magic as Sweetie Belle shouts: "Hey, I was here first!". Twilight wants to say something but she gets cut out: "But Twilight was in this room first!", shouts Pinkie Pie as she arrives in the room.

Shortly Applebloom and Scootaloo came in. "Come on, we have to hurry if we want to win this, we're way behind", says worried Applebloom. "We wouldn't be behind if Sweetie Belle didn't look for cupcakes on the beginning", Scootaloo points rather irritated by loosing the game. "Those weren't cupcakes, those were muffins", says Sweetie Belle, now rather irritated herself by Scootaloo's critique.

"What are you a cookbook now?!", shouts Scootaloo. "Quick, let's go while they are distracted by each other", says Pinkie Pie, and leaves to the hallway of the house.

Twilight takes the toy and follows Pinkie leaving Crusaders in their pointless little argument. "Stop it you two, this isn't helping, we must continue our search in order to get our cutie marks", says Applebloom as Twi and Pinkie leave the room. "Yeah, she's right", says Scootaloo, "yeah", follows Sweetie Belle, as they continue their search.

Buzzing sound storms around the house signaling the end of round 2. All competitors gathered in front of the house with toys they found. Pinkie Pie and Twilight had most ponies, but Itey and Spike were close up. By points they were now really close to Itey and Spike.

Twilight looks across the stage and sees Itey clapping and smiling towards her. Twi instantly got very wide smile on her face. "Oh my, maybe I have a chance. Oh, this is wonderful, yay!", Twi thinking in herself. "I might go try to talk to him now that round 2 is over."

"Round 2 goes to Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie, putting them 2 points behind Itey and Spike. The final round will determine the victor!" announces the host to the crowd. As Twilight heads up towards Itey and Spike, "Hurry up to the stage 3, we're a bit late in schedule" says the host pony to the competitors and pushes them towards stage 3.

"In round 3, our competitors will drive their tanks of good to fight the evil MojoJojo. Goal of this game is to hit MojoJojo with laser guns as much time as possible to save the city of Townsville."

Buzzer sound signals start of the game once again. As all 3 teams get into their tank/karts, Pinkie Pie was driving for her team and Itey was driving for his team. "Turn to the left so I can have better shot" says Spike to Itey.

"Sure thing pal" responds Itey turning to the left thinking Spike is referring to MojoJojo doll on rope hanging in the middle of stage. Spike shoots tires of Pinkie's and Twi's tank/kart distracting Pinkie's driving. "Hey, that's not fair!" shouts out Pinkie Pie. "Hey!", shouts Itey to Spike inside tank/kart. "If they don't wanna play fair, neither do we", Pinkie say to Twilight.

"Noooo, Pinkie, nooooo!!!", shouts Twilight as Pinkie Pie drives their tank/kart into Spike and Itey's tank/kart, flipping both.

Buzzer sound gets off moments after karts have flipped. "Round 3 goes to Cutie Mark Crusaders!" host shouts out as CMC's tank/kart comes to the stop, and 3 fillies jump out and shout: "Cutie Mark Crusaders villain fighters", and high hoof each other.

"With our final round being complete, we have winner, and it's Itey and Spike team, congratulations!", shouts out host.
As Spike and Itey get on the stage, Pinkie Pie sat on corner little bit mad of losing the game after unfair incident that, fairly saying, both sides contributed in. Twilight started heading towards the exit with head down thinking all her chances were blown after the incident.

"Thank you everypony, this win means much to me, but it would mean much more if certain purple pony would care to join us on sharing the reward", said Itey on microphone on stage while looking towards Twilight as she was heading towards exit.

"He means you Twilight!", shouts out Applebloom. Twilight momentarily stops and looks towards Itey on stage with big happy eyes that started to shred tears from happiness, and smiling with a smile wide as whole of Equestria.

Spike takes microphone from Itey who was now also deeply in stare with Twi: "It was unfair of me to start unfair fight in final round, so I would like to share my part of victory with Pinkie Pie". As Spike says that, Pinkie Pie jumps up to stage and hugs Spike, "You're the best Spike!".

As 3 ponies and little dragon get into green room of convention hall, to meet person to person pony that has created their favorite shows, Itey grabs Twi's hoof and holds it with big smile addressed to Twi.
As white alicorn with brown mane comes into room, Pinkie Pie started shouting:"oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, it's really you, I never thought I'd ever ever ever meet you in real life, you're like best pony in cartoon world....", as Pinkie Pie "attacked" white alicorn, Itey, Spike and Twilight just laughed.

"How about a group photo?", says Featherweight who was the official convention photographer. "Sure!", shouts out Pinkie and joins others. White alicorn joins them for the photo. As Featherweight takes photo, Twilight kisses Itey in the cheek.

"As much as it's honor to meet you" Itey says to white alicorn, "today, I think I won hoof of most beautiful pony in Equestria". Itey kisses Twilight and they leave the green room of the convention hall.
