Jackpot studied the strange item. "It looks like cheese, but it's as hard as a rock. Must have turned solid over time, so it could have been used in the attack. Strange, but ridiculous. Who would use a single piece of cheese in such an attack?"
"I think it's an unexploded piece of C4!" Rockette said. "Guess that explains why the scaffolding collapsed." (Sorry if I'm a little slow responding to these. Some of these are harder to write for than others. I kinda suck at this anyway.)
Jackpot jumped into the air out of shock, especially since the thing she did before discovering the block of C4 was touching it to investigate it. Just jumped into the air and accidentally stumbled backwards before falling onto Ged. To make the situation less awkward as it already was, Crimson decided to retain her focus onto the block of C4. "So...if that's a piece of C4. Then the detonator is still around here" Crimson said before noticing something nearby. "And here it is..." The Red Unicorn then went to a dark corner and picked up the detonator, where the signal was destroyed so the explosive won't detonate in Unstable's faces. "And I'm pretty sure there are some more clues around here, whoever decided to attack you guys must have known what they were doing." (It's alright , you're actually pretty good at this! Take your time)
"But who the hell would do something like that?" Ged asked. "Wait!" Sticks yelled, " Remember how pissed off that blue unicorn was? What was her name?"
Crimson thought for a moment before he suddenly shot his head upwards in shock, before his expression turned into one of deep hate. He then stormed back towards the group before walking past them. "It was Trixie Lulamoon" Crimson coldly responded. "And I know exactly where to find her. Oh, and nobody hold me back when I see her." Jackpot quickly became concerned about her best friend and ran over to help her, but it was too late. Crimson teleported himself out of the studio.
Jackpot looked around in a panic before turning at the group. "She's going after Trixie, and this is really bad. Celestia knows what is going to happen when she finds her. I mean, we have the evidence that Trixie done it. But..." The beautiful unicorn mare then began to pick up the pace. "Crimsons going to beat her to an inch of her life, we need to stop her."
"That's our problem, we have no idea where she just vanished to. Knowing Crimson, she'd likely get as far as possible with her teleportation magic before heading the rest of the way on foot." Jackpot replied. "I seen Trixie and her assistants near the Library, they were performing a show when I got here. The only part about that is, that's not very far from here and Crimson's magic is pretty powerful. That's our only lead, and we need to stop her before it becomes a bloodbath."
The others huddled together with Jackpot in the middle as they quickly teleported to the library. Sure enough, they could here a commotion from nearby and rushed towards the grunts and crashes.
Jackpot looked around the corner to suddenly find Trixie flying out of the back of her caravan, the door going along with her. The blue unicorn was already very brused and injured, whatever could have had happened inside of the Caravan must had turned into a warzone. Sure enough, there was an entire box of C4 just sitting inside a crate inside of the caravan. There was no more evidence that was needed, Trixie was the one who attempted to kill the group. Snips and Snails came to Trixie's side to defend the unicorn as they charged the red Unicorn, but this ended poorly. Snails was tripped over and got a knee planted into his face, while Crimson took Snips by the side of the head and slammed him head first into a brick wall. The very 'delivery' caused a large crater to be caused on the side of the wall, where Snips passed out instantly. Trixie was backing away slowly from the domination that she was receiving, Crimson didn't even have a scratch on her. She was crying as tears rolled down her face, and she couldn't feel much of her body. By now, a sizable crowd was watching. Just as she tried to get up and run away, Unstable and Jackpot quickly arrived and stopped Trixie in her tracks.
"We'll hold her." said Sticks to Jackpot and Rockette, "You just get Crimson calmed down so we can ask Trixie here some questions." The four stallions pinned Trixie to the ground as Jackpot and Rockette tried to reason with their raging friend. "Don't do this, Crimson! If you kill her, we'll never get to the bottom of this!"
Crimson began to calm down once the rest of Unstable arrived, but she was still understandably pissed. Nevertheless, she calmed down as she began to tell the group some crucial evidence. "I wasn't going to kill her, I was just reminding her of what she's done" She then pointed at Trixie's caravan. "Everything is in there, she's responsible for all this. An entire box of C4, a map of the entire studio, even photos of ourselves. She even knew what time to strike. Go have a look." Jackpot then went over to the caravan door, where the door almost comedically fell off its hinges when she got close enough. What she found inside looked like a warzone, but Crimson was right. Everything she said was there and in her face. She looked in surprise before eventually getting Rockette to come over with Crimson to seal the deal, all the while the cops were being called.
There seemed to be no need to ask anymore questions. The evidence was staggering. As the cops arrived and loaded Trixie into the paddy wagon, she screamed that she was innocent but to no avail.
Crimson took a deep breath once Trixie was taken away, finding a strange yet pleasurable enjoyment in watching Trixie scream as she got further and further away from him and the group. He then turned around to face the group as she looked at them eagerly. "We can finally get on with our lives now, not to mention finally send that music video out. It was essentially completed just after the accident, so all it needs is a few tweaks." Crimson said. "Thanks for your help Jackpot" "Don't mention it Crim, you know that I'm always here for you." "You staying in town for a bit?" "Actually..." Jackpot said with a grin. "I'm thinking of moving into the area, it would be nice to leave Los Pegasus. Not to mention that I can be with you mares!"
"And to make things better, your winnings in all those tournaments could basically get you any house in Ponyville multiple times over. You could even get yourself a huge mansion on the outskirts of town if you wanted to." Crimson replied. "I actually know of a place. It looks more like a Canterlot mansion then your typical house." "How much?" Jackpot replied "8 million bits" Jackpot gigged at the end. "Only that much? " The mansion was outrageously expensive, but she was far richer then what most ponies had been led to believe. Had she not focused on winning her poker tournaments and focused on running an economic empire like her great grandfather, she would have been a billionaire many times over by now. And she is still very young, but she can play along. She held all of the cards, she always did. Fortune was her last name, and she always played wonders. "Sold" Jackpot smiled at the end
Oh wow, thought Ged, she's amazing! A self-made mare with good looks and confidence! Why am I wasting my time? She's not interested in me.
"I'll just head to the real estate office and I'll talk about the house. Catch up with you later!" Jackpot happily replied, jumping into the air out of joy as she made her way down the street as she went to do her own thing. Eventually, she soon vanished out of sight. "Ged, you've been awfully quiet." Crimson replied as he looked at him slyly. "You know, she's really a big softy about relationships anyway. She's never had a boyfriend and she's kinda nervous about it anyway. I'm sure that she feels exactly the way that you do, it'd be a really good idea to tell her how you feel. Who knows, she might actually really like you secretly." After some talking, Jackpot returned as she galloped towards the group with the new deed for her mansion outside of town. She was absolutely geeking out about the former owner being a famous actor who stared in a massive sci-fi series on TV. As she looked about the group, she noticed Ged being quite disappointed from the group. Concerned, she went over to him. Crim nudged Sticks and Rockette just to give the two some room while they talked. "What's the matter?" Jackpot said with a concerned voice that sounded like an Angels harmonica. She was right next to Ged as well, her beautiful eyes looking into Ged's own. She was an absolute goddess next to Ged, it might have led the other pony to believe that he wasn't good enough for her. She could easily tell that something was up with Ged, he hasn't said much since he met her and he always acted nervous around her. Not to mention sticking at her side whenever he got the chance. "Ged...you ok?"
Ged hesitated and tried to force a shrug but to no avail. "Well," he started, his ears twitching with anxiety, "it's just that..." He broke into a cold sweat. Come on, man! Just buck up and spill it! "Jackpot, would it be at all rude if I asked you... if you might wanna... would you go out on a date with me sometime?" The burning in Ged's gut seemed to clash with the frozen sensation in his blood. What did I just do!? Rockette, Sticks, and the rest held their breath for Jackpot's response. The air was so thick you nearly needed a chainsaw to cut through it.
