Jackpot was taken back by this sudden news. She had never been on a date, she never even had a boyfriend. Her mind was now racing with a million thoughts a second, all of them seemed to be positive. She had a light blush on her cheeks as she tried to reply back, seemingly as nervous as Ged was. Jackpot was trying to think of something to say back to Ged, although she also didn't want to embarrass herself in the process as well. "I'd really enjoy that. I would love to go on a date with you" In the distance, Crim had a sly smile on his face. He knew that Jackpot was just as nervous as Ged was, although she was trying her best not to let it show.
Relieved, Ged followed the group as they made their way back to the theater. He and Jackpot loosened up and were asking each other all sorts of questions. Sticks and Rockette laughed as they had their own conversation. "Man, I haven't seen Ged that uptight since he quit smoking." "Yeah, but at least they seem to be hitting it off pretty well."
While Jackpot and Ged were enjoying themselves in the back of the group, Crim honestly felt that he had just dodged a bullet. He nearly died, and got payback on the pony responsible as well. But to top it off, he directed and finished a music video for his friends that only needed to be sent away and he got his best friend into a relationship. The last couple of weeks hasn't been that bad. Once back at the theater, Crim got the final product of the music video all ready. It had already gone through editing, special effects and all sorts of stuff that Crim often done for her productions. The final product, in her own words, was "Frighteningly good". It could have been her best music video yet, but she didn't want to ruin the surprise. Jackpot stood close to Ged whenever she could like a lost puppy. Crim had temporarily closed one of screens for a couple of hours to under go "Renovations" so that Unstable can watch their movie on the big screen. The final product was ready to blow everypony away
"I just wish we could have done this with Rockout." said Strato, "Oh, I'm sorry. No offence, to you Rockette!" "Hehe, none taken. I know what you mean. I wish he could have done this to." The theater went dark as the screen lit up. The band sat with baited breath as the opening chords of "Sell My Soul" resonated throughout the theater.
The music video began to light up the cinema as the song began to play at an almost perfect volume across the cinema. Not only did the video look fantastic, but it just sounded great as well. By the time that the video died eventually ended, the lights seemed to automatically turn themselves in again. "Well, ain't that something! Congratulations Stallions and Mares, I can safely say that each and everyone of you deserve the ridiculous ratings that is going to skyrocket your popularity amongst the music scene. Once this video is sent over, just sit back and relax" Crimson said before lifting himself out of his chair. "I've got drinks if you want to celebrate, but I'll be in my office. I got something important that needs doing." Crimson soon left the group to focus onto whatever he needed to do, only leaving Jackpot and Unstable in the room. Jackpot was blown away with what she just seen, quite a large grin was on her face. She seemed to hold Ged's hoof tighter now, she never felt this way around a stallion before.
The rest of the band backed out of the theater to give them some space. Once in the lobby, Strato and Bone Vox went over to the arcade to wait for Crimson. Sticks and Rockette made their way towards the bathroom. "I hope the two of them click," said Rockette, "I think she's really cool." "Yeah. Uh, dude." Sticks pointed towards the mares' room. "Oh, right. I can't believe I still forget." Meanwhile, back in the theater, Ged and Jackpot had barely said a word to each other. They gazed into each other's eyes affectionately. "Jackpot, I've really enjoyed spending these last few hours with you. And I'd really like to see you again sometime... if that'd be OK. I've really never felt this way around any other mare."
Jackpot had never felt this way, she just looked at Ged with the sign of love in her eyes. She had the largest smile on her face when she heard Ged wishing to see her again one other time. "I'd love to do the same as well. I live in Ponyville now, although my stuff won't be moved to the new house for a few days. I'll just hang out at Crim's place until then." Jackpot replied with a smile on her face, giggling at the end. She then paused for a second while looking into Ged's eyes. Whatever she was going to do would have ultimately made Ged's night. Before Ged could even react, she leaned her head towards him and the two ponies were in a passionate kiss. While she started to kiss him, she loved the fact that she would have took him by surprise. The two locked tongues for what felt like an eternity until she broke the kiss, a trail of saliva connecting the two together. She wiped it off her face as she then looked at Ged again. It was her first kiss, and she happened to be pretty damn good at it as well. "Hope to see you around Ged, gonna miss you. You know where to find me!" Jackpot said cheerfully while her face was as red as a rose, blushing like crazy. She then kissed Ged on the cheek before leaving the theatre and saying her good byes to the rest of Unstable. By the time that Crimson came back to the group, Jackpot made her way back to his place. It was getting fairly late now, the night sky overtaking the day: Jackpots mind was absolutely racing about what happened before, and she loved each moment of it. This could have been the best day of her life.
Ged was equally in heaven. On the train back to Flanksington, he filled the rest of the band in on how he and Jackpot shared their first kiss. "I've gotta admit, I've NEVER felt that way about another mare! The more we talked, the more comfortable I felt around her. What an amazing girl!" Ged remained starry-eyed for the rest of the trip. The rest of Unstable, ironically enough, occupied their time with a game of poker. "What?" Strato yelped, "How did you win 20 games in a row, Rockette? Nopony's that damn lucky!" "Why, Strato, whatever do you mean? Maybe poker's just your game. I know, let's have a spelling contest!" The four of them laughed while Ged remained in heaven. "Man, I think I wanna marry that gal."
Jackpot was getting her mane done by Crimson,sitting in the bathroom while the red Unicorn held a hair clip in his mouth. Jackpot still felt absolutely electric about what had happened earlier in the night, she still had the biggest grin on her face. "So, how did it go?" Crimson asked Jack, already knowing the answer. "It was amazing. I feel different, I've never felt this feeling before. We spent all night together while you were gone. Then...we kissed" Jackpot replied, blushing at the end of the sentence. "Really now? Your first kiss? And with a stallion that you just met not that long ago?" Crimson replied before happily smiling at the end. "You certainly are getting around" "Sure am!" Jackpot replied. "It was magical!"
A few days later, Rockette and sticks were at Strato's practicing when Ged's phone rang. He picked it up and recognized the number... although, he never would have expected HER to be the one to call him. "Dude," said Rockette, "is that her?" Ged nodded and answered with his hooves trembling a little. "H-H-Hello?"
"Hey Ged!" Jackpot replied cheerfully on the other line. "I'm just wondering if you happen to be free tonight. If your busy, I can call back another time. I just thought that we should go on a date"
"Alright, awesome! Meet me at around 5.30 near the Ponyville Library, I don't really care what we do. I'd just like to be with you." Jackpot replied. "Well, I'll see you later. Bye!" And with that, the phone call ended.
Ged held the phone so long that it began beeping violently. "She asked me on a second date!" "Congrats, dude!" was the general consensus of the rest of the band. Ged was still shaking though. "Uh, Rockette, can I talk to you for a minute in private?" Rockette nodded and the rest of the band gave them their space. "What's up?" "Well," Ged said sheepishly, "you're a girl, Rockette. Jackpot said she didn't care what we do as long as we were together. I don't have the faintest idea where to take her though. What are some of the things girls like to do?" "Uhh, well..." Rockette racked his brain to come up with a helpful answer. All the girly things Wild made him do didn't sound appealing at all. But then, he thought back to when he and her were first dating. "Well, you could always take her out to a fancy dinner and go for a walk in the park. That's what my *gulp* boyfriend did for me." Rockette fought the urge to puke after what he had said but he didn't let it show. Ged hugged him tightly and gave a very tearful thanks.
A couple of hours passed, and soon Ged found himself inside Jackpots enormous mansion on the outskirts of town. Crimson, who was quickly visiting Jack to just drop off some stuff, was soon asked by the other mare to help her prepare for the date. Crim also got the door when Ged arrived, just preparing to leave once Jackpot was downstairs. While Crim stood next to Ged, the red unicorn decided to give Ged some 'extra' information. "You know, I've never seen her this happy since you came into her life. She's gone absolutely crazy over you. She thinks and dreams about you really often, which I can safely say that she wants you to stay with her. It might seem like you two only just met, which you actually just did. But she looks at you like you've known each other for her entire life. She's a keeper." Crimson spoke to Ged before laughing to himself at the end. "Jackpot has also gone all-out on making sure she looks as pretty as possible for tonight. She's had her mane done, makeup and everything. She even bought a really expensive dress as well which she is going to wear tonight, she wants to blow you away. Hopefully not literally."
As Crimson left, Ged could hear the clopping of high-heeled horseshoes coming from the top of the staircase. As he turned around, he was suddenly breathless. She was even more beautiful than the night they met. Her dress flowing like waves in the wind and her hair in a Hoofrench Twist, Ged's eyes glistened as they met hers. "Wow..." was the only word he could muster.
Jackpot went downstairs before doing a little twirl to show Ged her dress. "So....what do you think?" Jackpot said happily. "Hope i didnt over do it"
"Awww, thank you Ged." Jackpot said before wondering about something. "So, what do we want to do tonight?"
Ged pulled out 2 gold tickets. "I've got us reservations as the Du Mare restaurant on the edge of town."
