Something in the voices of the two people sensed that they weren't here for small talk. They were here for something, and Damien refused to leave them alone until he knew what. "What are you after" Damien quickly ordered
Damien made sure that the others followed him into his house, making sure that the armoury underground wasn't known. He pressed a button on the wall that closed the staircase downstairs itself. It looked like the armoury never even existed. He then spoke through a radio. Sorry guys, just need to lock you downstairs for a while, just until these people are gone. Don't want them to know about the collection down there, I don't want the entire damn Brotherhood or NCR knowing about this, you'd know what they would do. Anyway, I'm sure that you can find something that you would like and I'll let you guys back up once they leave. Take whatever you want" Damien then turned on the lights to the rest of his house while hiding the armoury. He turned around at the two strangers. "I'd just get ourselves a coffee"
Abbey: wait! you can't just lock us down here! Damn! he got off the intercom before I could object. Will: wonder if there's a way to communicate back up... Jenny: why was there even an intercom system here in the first place? Abbey: I don't know and anyway, I guess that's not the kind of question we should be asking right now. Meanwhile Back upstairs... (???2): Nice place you have here. (???1): eh. It's okay.
"Found it a couple years back, still in pristine condition when me and my wife found it. Unfortunately, she's passed on." Damien replied before giving the two strangers their drinks. "We are not that far away from Vegas, Westside is a 20 minute walk from here." Taylor shrugged. "Well...he did say that we can take whatever gun we want. And that since we have around a couple tons of weapons as it is, it must be Christmas for us. I know what im doing."
Jenny: I think he said we could take anything we wanted. So let it be Christmas and hanukkah all in one. c: Abbey: what even are those? Jenny: I don't really know. I haven't really found out about them yet. Abbey: hmph... oh well. Better see if there's any ammo lying around. Meanwhile upstairs again (???1): Your point being?
"Well...my prospects of this house falling under attack if, let's say, the Legion takes the dam is likely. You two gentlemen came looking for something valuable, yet there is nothing here for you to steal or salvage. Westside is a good place to sell whatever you see, that's all." Damien replied. "Of course, I'm cautious about two random people just wandering onto my homestead seeking to find something of value. Before peace talks could potentially break down, why don't you tell me your names."
Damien noticed the women and just smiled gently in response before looking at the other person. "What about you?"
(???2): Oh, me? My name is Wins Many Fights of the Whitehawks. (Wins has a white mowhawk as part of his look.)
"Tribal, eh?" Damien said with interest."My father was born into a tribe that originally was from Vault 13, but that was many years ago. He's the mayor of New Arroyo, although he's known across California as "The Chosen One". There was a reason behind that, but that's another story entirely. My father Aron changed his name to Aaron due to the similarities in 2242, and became Aaron Winters. Our bloodline goes back before the war as well, but I take after my father because I never knew my mother."
Wins: fascinating. c: (???1): (drinks Coffee) We found each other when I was travelling north and visiting the various tribes.
"Tribes in the Republic are almost non-existent, but some of them are still around. NCR is gathering them together and reintroducing them to civilization. I'm technically a tribal as well, but It wasn't for very long. Tribes in the east however, they numbered in their hundreds. Caesar just slaughtered the ones that he didn't find necessary." Damien said before finishing his coffee and went over to his war-room on the other side of the living room. He looked at the picture of Caesar at the top of the pyramid for a brief moment before rejoining the rest of the group. "Never caught your name, madam." Damien replied politely. "My old unit was comprised of Veterans, but the NCR uses the most basic form of Riot Gear that offers the least protection. Are you from the Republic?"
"That Riot Gear you've got yourself is almost exactly like mine, although mine is black. Anyway..." Damien replied before taking a sip of his coffee Meanwhile... Taylor walked through the armoury, searching for something new to use against anything that dared come against her. Although talented with a gun, energy weapons were a focus. She could modify them to ensure that they used less microfusion cells while retaining their power. It was one of the things she was good at. She remained one specific section of the armoury, the laser and plasma weapon section. If she found something here, she would be thrilled. Yet again, she was almost bouncing off the walls out of happiness as it was.
Jenny quickly cycled through the guns and picked out 3 that she knew a friend of her's would like. Meanwhile back upstairs... (???1): that's nice for you... Damien was it? Can I see this armor?
Damien remained calm and confident throughout the entire ordeal, although the armour was located downstairs. Playing along, he just rose out of his chair. "Certainly, I'll be back in a minute." Damien then walked upstairs into his bedroom and once everything was quiet, he quickly spoke into an earpiece. "Won't be able to stall them for much longer, I'm going to head down and just bring my old armour up. Nobody talk for a moment, they haven't caught on yet." Damien then opened another door, one of several escape routes that the builder of the house constructed that led to the armoury without detection. This door was hidden exceptionally well by Damien, who himself as a stealth and infiltration legend in his own right. It would have been near impossible to find unless someone had knowledge of the house. Soon, the former Ranger reappeared in the armoury and just took the set of armour from its rack. He was going to reappear to his bedroom upstairs then head back down once he was dressed, since some of the tunnels led to different parts of the house. The rest of them were actual escape tunnels however. Soon and without saying a word, Damien vanished in thin air with his Elite Riot Gear.
Abbey: what was that all about? Will: I dunno. He's taken that armor of his though. Jenny: and I'm taking his ammo Back upstairs... Wins waited patiently for Damien's return however the Riot armored woman was nowhere to be seen.
Damien came back down in his Elite Riot Gear, the details of the armor being a highly intimidating black. It was also decorated in several insignias and details, although the biggest detail was the infamous MOCKINGBIRD emblem on the side of his shoulder. While he seen Wins, Abbey was nowhere to be seen. "Where's your friend gone?" Damien asked Wins Taylor was having the time of her life in the energy weapons area, but only took what she needed. She did find some mods to her Plasma Rifle however, and equipped a brand new scope and the magnetic accelerator modification. She also tinkered around with it to ensure it's already high power while only using a fraction of the energy needed to make a shot, resulting in a more shots with a MC cell.
