Jenny: No he doesn't. XP Vulpes: I've had quite enough of this. I shall leave, hopefully you'll make the right choice.
Damien and Edward found themselves looking towards the Mojave, walking while they were talking, Damien filling in the Ghoul with what has happened since his 'death'. The old ghoul and the orange haired man next to him were watching the city of New Vegas from the highest elevation point that they could find, looking at the oasis in all of its beauty. Edward spoke first, cutting the silence. "A single man, who's willpower and determination has changed the face of his homeland, against impossible odds. You've spent a good portion of your life getting vengeance against this 'Legion', but your actions are nothing short of spectacular. I'm proud to have called myself your mentor, but it seems that you haven't finished yet." The old Ghoul then turned around to look the human next to him directly in the eyes. "The worst is yet to come." "He's coming" Damien told the Ghoul. "He will come down onto Hoover Dam like a hammer. He has to die. Not for the betterment of the future, but for humanity itself." Edward looked towards New Vegas again. "I've seen things that you would never believe even if I told you. Humanity almost killed herself and took just about everything else along with it, it's only now that the wounds are beginning to heal as Humanity can finally walk again. The NCR is perfect proof of that. An entire nation, born from the mistakes of the Old World, that is rapidly approaching Pre-War levels. It's why I fought for her, even though we didn't exactly agree with each other at times. In order to ensure that a bright future lies ahead for mankind, there is a couple of things that need to be delt with first." "And you agree with what is happening with Vegas?" Damien questioned Edward. The two men looking towards the city again in silence as the wind seemed to pick up around them. "Your are a legend to those who fight and live on the battlefield. That is also why you had to do what you believed was right. Why you had to do it alone. It's exactly how Chloe would have wanted it." Edward said before looking at Damien once more. "You have come this far, failure from this point onward would result in death. I support your ideas for an Independent Vegas, but I can't decide her future. That's up to you." The Ghoul then began to walk away from the man. "I shall catch up with you later, there is something that needs to be done." Damien then put his hand on the Ghouls shoulder to stop him, before extending his arm out to give him back his old Sequoia. Edward immediately smiled at his signature weapon before he walked away again. "Now go!" Damien encouraged the ghoul. "Let the legend come back to life!" (Fast-Forward to the Encounter with Caesar at the Fort?)
(Sure) The group made their way off to fortification hill to meet the mighty leader of the Legion himself, the great Caesar. As they made their way up to the fort on the boat, many thoughts ran through their mind. Like, how many of the stories about the legion were true? What would Caesar want from them when they got there? What caused Caesar to pick them to do the task he wanted? and most importantly of all.... Did they have any nuka cola? (dammnit Will! Y U be so thirsty?) Once they'd arrived, a legion guard removed the weapons they were carrying and they proceeded to Caesar's tent in the fort. Along the way, they saw the various legion soldiers rigorously training themselves in preparation for the big attack on the dam. Their training was unlike anything how the NCR trained it's troops. It was organised and thorough, unlike the NCR who were so desperate to get the troops to the dam that some soldiers probably didn't know which end of a gun makes the loud noises. Slaves were also seen carrying huge bags on their back, full of supplies for the troops and nearly collapsing from exhaustion with only the threat of death or torture keeping them going. Truly, it seemed that a lot of suspicions about the legion were true and then some more. "ah, so nice to finally meet you" called Caesar as the group entered the tent.
Taylor didn't really like what she seen in the Legion, but brushed those thoughts aside. Her and her group of friends found themselves before Caesar himself, the undisputed master of the Legion. A self-proclaimed God-king, conqueror of 86 tribes. "Let's cut to the chase, shall we?" Caesar began. "That Platinum Chip you carried has the same emblem as the Lucky 38's. You see, there is an old weather station that was here when my Legion took the Fort in 2277. Now, what's curious is there is a slot in a terminal exactly the same size as the chip. And doers that cannot be blasted, drilled or forced open. Because all of those, I've already tried. So, I'm thinking that this chip opens those doors. Once your down there, I want you to destroy anything you find underneath. Return to me after, and you are free to leave. However, if you stay and serve my Legion....then you will be rewarded immensely."
The gang agrees to help Caesar with his little problem and are promptly escorted to the weather station. Most of the crew proceeded to go in the bunker while Barbara and Wins remained outside. Jenny: is it me or is it kinda cold down here? Will: it is, but don't worry It's only because of how far down the bunker is. Kinda reminds me of home a li'l
(Couldn't reply, connection issues. I can post now) The group stopped at a huge metallic door that contained the logo of the Lucky 38 and took the elevator down, soon finding themselves at an entire bunker hidden underneath the Legion. Not only that, but a large terminal was located to the side as Yes-Man's face soon appeared. "Hi! Good to see you again!
Jenny: Heya yes man! Abbey: how are you down here? Will: My guess is that he's broadcasting himself here. Not like it matters however.
"So, this is the place. An entire Securitron army, with more coming on the way. All that needs to be done is to insert the Platinum Chip into a control panel and upgrade the Securitrons. However, they will not be operational until the battle for Hoover Dam due to our range transmitters and power supply" "I'm guessing that's going to be what happens later" Taylor asked the face on the monitor. "Precisely. From my position, I cannot shut down ALL of the security defences. Which means that they either have to be disabled, or destroyed. Some Rad-X will also be need due to a small leak that has occurred within the past 200 years." "I go and do it" Taylor replied. "I can shut them down, we can all waltz through the bunker without firing a single shot."
"I used to hack terminals back in Vault 101 with my eyes clothes, I've got this." Taylor replied, taking Rad-X before heading down with the rest of the group. Soon; they found themselves at four different terminals, each with different encryptions. Taylor just smirked as she went to the first terminal, bypassing the firewalls and defences in the blink of an eye. "Protections have been hacked, they're finished." The second terminal was ridiculously easy as well. The third one was a cakewalk. The forth however, seemed to put up a fight. The final terminal fought back with repeated errors, although it lost in the end to Taylor's super-genius intellect and technological skills. "Well, that was easy. Every defence has been calibrated to allow us to enter unharmed, no fight is needed at all. It will target anyone else that tries to enter however, but I set its parameters to target Legionaries. Let's upgrade the defenders of Vegas and see what happens!" Taylor responded before noticing a Plasma Rifle in perfect condition sitting in the corner. She picked it up, changed some of the wires and configured it strangely. "Sorry, the wires to its hyper-cooling chamber was sticking out slightly. Force of habit..." Taylor said sheepishly.
Will: eh, It's cool. Oh and thanks for fixing the security system for us. Abbey: Yes, thank you. Jenny: (hugs Taylor) c:
"Thanks guys" Taylor responded back, sort of blushing in embarrassment at the end. All the group had to do was walk through the bunker, until they got to the control panel. By then, all that was there was a small window and the control panel to upgrade the Securitrons. From a small glance through the window, there could be at least 700-900 Securitrons inside. 700 one man/machine armies, in formation silently waiting for their chance to reveal themselves to the world. "Let's do this!" Taylor said, excited about what's going to happen. "Ready to change the world ?"
Taylor placed the Platnium Chip into the console and it began to tramsmit the invaluable data inside. Soon, the faces on the Securitrons lit up and resembled soliders instead of normal police officers. A large sound also meant that more were being constructed. "Wow....just wow" Taylor said in awe before looking at the others. "I think we're done here, lets go back to Caesar"
The group leave the underground fortress and head back up to Caesar's tent where they find Barbara talking to Caesar. Barbara: ...your Legion won't last Caesar. You yourself have made sure of that.
"Nonsense. Had you been in the Legion, I would have made you a slave for taking to me in such disrespect. Of course, there are other days. So...if i were you; I'd play it safe when your around me." Caesar bellowed before the rest of the group arrived. "I heard a great noise occurring from underneath the bunker, so I'm guessing that you got the job done. As I've said; you are free to leave. However, there is one special task that I want you to complete when your gone. I want someone dead, although every assassin that I've ever sent has turned up dead. At this point, I've wasted at least a thousand or so Legionaries. His bounty, in caps, is around 1.2 million. So he's a special thorn in my side." "I want you to Damien Winters, to whom my Legionaries refer to as a 'Demon'"
Will: you want us to kill Damien for 1.2 million caps?! Jenny: I don't think there are even that many caps in circulation right now.
"The Legion has quite a powerful economy, so we can easily muster enough caps to fund your reward. Damien Winters has conducted a reign of terror against my Legion for the past four years. He's wiped out entire Legionary camps, bombed multiple cities, burnt down entire military camps, assassinated a good portion of the Legionary command structure and has killed thousands upon thousands of Legionaries in his lonesome. My own men are terrified of him, which is why I'm issuing such a high bounty for his death. If you bring him alive, the reward is doubled. Of course, you can decline. Only the best go after him. Caesar told the group. "Your terrified of him, aren't you" Taylor replied. Before the God-King could protest, he experienced one of his severe migraines. "L....leave."
Barbara: I'm not afraid of you or your Legion. Remember that next time you deal with me or my friends. Also remember this....
