"Remember wh..." Caesar replied before his praetorians suddenly formed around him, protecting him from what is about to happen
Barbara: Remember that I can bring you and the Legion down with only 6 words. 6 words very important words to anyone within the Legion. Even you.
"Come on then, say it! You should know not to tempt the wrath of Caesar, and you are dangerously close to doing so! SAY IT !" Caesar replied, now angry about what was happening. The headaches he was having weren't helping.
Barbara: your wrath? pppffffttt please. However seeing as your so eager to find out what it is.... Caesar waits in anger for Barbara's response however his headaches get too much for him and he requests that he get some rest. As Caesar retires to his quarters Barbara puts her hand on one of Caesar's elite guard's shoulders then turns him around. Barbara: hey. (looks over at Caesar to get the guard to look at Caesar too. then whispers something into his ear) After that: Barbara turned around to address the crew Barbara: alright gang. We can go now.
Taylor just nodded as she followed Barbara and the rest of her friends down to Fort. Once they left, she looked at Barbara. "What did you whisper exactly?" Taylor asked
Barbara: I'll tell ya later. Right now we need to get back west before they force us to work for them. So with that, the crew had their weapons returned to them and were taken back to cottonwood Cove.
By the time the rest of the group had arrived back at the Lucky 38, they were shocked to find a Ghoul in a brown duster standing in the middle of the penthouse talking to Yes-Man. Nobody knew who he was, although he did mention Damiens name once in the conversation he was having. "Who's that?" Taylor responded, taking out her plasma rifle just incase.
Edward just stood there as he kept talking to Yes-Man, although he could feel the presence of more people inside the room. He knew they were there and he didn't even turn his head or even look. "I'm not an enemy, if that's what you are asking." Edward called out. "Taylor, lower your Plasma Rifle." "How in the hell did he...." Taylor said before putting it away, getting up and walking down from her position.
Abbey: Listen, we don't want any trouble. However we would like a reason as to why you're here talking to our friend on the monitor.
"A reason? Easy." Edward replied before turning around to face the group. "I was sent here by your friend, Damien Winters. We know each other. You should have seen the look on his face..."
"Edward Cooper, just came back from beyond the grave" Edward responded back to Jenny. The elevator door opened again to show Damien just returning back, noticing Edward speaking to the others. In a good mood, he went down the stairs as the man and ghoul hugged each other. "Glad to see that you've met Edward. He was my mentor alongside my father. My father taught me how to fight and walk in combat, Edward taught me how to dance." "Well, if you put it that way. I guess I did" Edward laughed with Damien following suit.
Will: well any friend of Damien's is a friend of ours. Right? Jenny: heck yeah! Abbey: Maybe if we got better acquainted over a scotch. Barbara: Suck it. Wins: eh, I guess.
"Oh, and Damien. I found out something that you would find interesting. He's alive." Edward said, pausing at the end to allow the information to sink in. Damien thought for a second about who Edward was referring to, but it was soon clear who the old Ghoul was talking about. "Your kidding! The Reaper is still alive?" Damien said with shock. "It's been at least six years, surely that lunatic has died since then." "Jack might have been with us, but he was way too valuable for the NCR to waste. Had he been any other Ranger, he would have been court-marshalled and thrown out of the Rangers." "Just a question, who is this 'Jack'?" Taylor asked out loud, hoping to get the two men's attention. (Time to introduce a villain !)
"I was the founder of the MOCKINGBIRDS in 2250, an elite Black Ops arm of the NCR Rangers that answered only to the President. Damien joined in 2258 and had his first mission when he was 15. While there was other groups, our group was known to be the best. All together, there was six of us. Me, Damien, Benedict, Ashley, Roger...and Jack." Edward told the group before letting Damien speak. "Jack Harper, also known as Falcon. You will never meet a more bloodthirsty Ranger then him. Even when he fought alongside us, the guy was a lunatic. He is, and always has been mentally unstable. He had abusive parents and he was prone to always doing crazy things. When the MOCKINGBIRDS disbanded in 2276, Jack went off the radar and supposedly lives somewhere in Southern California as a drug dealer, addict, arms dealer, occasionally as a Mercenary and supposedly as the leader of his own small criminal empire. If you want me to sum him shortly, he is a sociopathic criminal." Damien talked about his former comrade before deciding to wrap him up. "He was clearly insane, but we kept him. Not because of who he was, it was because of what he could do." "I can say without boast that Jack is the best shot in California, he was better then Damien. Not only that, but he was very proficient in stealth. The only thing that connected us with him was his deep sense of honour. Once you win his loyalty, he will fight to the death for you. But that's not what threatens me" Edward said again. "Jack the Ripper, Reaper, Jack was seen as death incarnate by his enemies. But he's known famously as "Skeleton Jack". He heavily modified his Riot Gear to resemble something more like a skeleton. He made his chest plate look like a rib cage, gloves look like skeleton hands, that sort of thing. Although, he has built himself his own skull mask that he wears almost constantly. You can shoot a mini nuke at that thing and you won't even damage it. He's a monster of a man, I'm surprised that he's still alive." Damien replied. "Somebody should have put him out of his misery years ago." (Jack = Trevor Philips)
( http://ih0.redbubble.net/image.26209049.8969/fc,550x550,white.jpg ) Abbey: that's quite a list of accolades, but why all the fuss over this guy right now?
"We are not worried because he is a psycopath, we are worried because of his ambitions." Edward replied before he looked at Yes-Man. "Yes-Man, can you get up a picture of the chem?" "Sure can! Yes-Man said as the monitor went through a large collection of photos, before a red powder came up. "This is Blood Dust. Not only did Jack create this drug, but this is going to become the most addictive and dangerous chem in the Southwest since Jet. From what ive gathered, it takes the 'best' aspects of Jet, Psycho, Med-X and other pre-war narcotics. It's impossibly addictive and can easily ruin entire familes, even turn entire towns against each other. It's only side effect is that if taken in high enough qualities, it will turn your eyes red. Overdoses are lethal, but also extremely common due to its addictive nature." "This might seem irrelevant to you, but this is important for Vegas in the long run. You've seen how bad Freeside can be with just a couple of needles of Psycho. If Blood Dust makes it to Vegas....it would be nothing but total anarchy in the streets. It would cause us to lose our power, then Jack might launch a Coup with the profits he gets from it." Damien told the group. "He would be a Dictator of New Vegas. He can, and will do this. He got the NCR's attention a couple of days ago due to an entire military barracks apparently overdosing and dying on Blood Dust. They managed to find a journal entry of his while he was there outlining an abridged plan for what ive told you guys. This is how we know about this."
Will: Geez is there no-one around here not looking to take over the mojave?! Barbara: So I assume you'll want us to help stop his plans huh?
