Just as the former Ranger finished his sentence, another one of the automations ran down the highway. This one appeared to be a large fox with a large silver pirate book that was in surprisingly good shape despite almost being 300 years old. It was much faster than the other robots, almost three times faster. Damien took Blood-Nap and ran towards it, making contact with it as second later with the sound of steel clashing. Taylor shot a bolt from her Plasma Rifle that made contact with the robots foot as Foxy's foot of her suit began to melt due to the immense heat and pain. Once the machine tried to cry out in pain, Damien swept behind its back and using his Bowie Knife, stabbed the robot right where it hurt. Foxy soon fell to the ground as it's power source was destroyed, dead. Just as Foxy fell, the last robot began to charge Damien, a giant purple bunny. Damien took Blood-Nap and threw it across the hallway as it soon slammed into the chest of the robot, dropping it to the ground backwards instantly and killing it. Only Freddy remained. "I know you want these for scrap, got anything electrical?" Damien called out
Jenny: plenty Abbey: I'm not so sure, breaking them down for scrap seems like a waste of good robotics. I mean look at all this detail... (Freddy takes Damien by surprise, grabs him by his upper arms and lifts him up and Letting off an ear piercing mechanical wail. Damien is unable to free himself due to freddy's immense strength and gets whisked away into the darkness.) Will: oh shoot! That bear took damien D: John: is it our time to leave then? Jenny: (smacks John on the back of the head) Abbey: we'd better go find him. After you will. Will: why me?! Abbey: well you are the strongest and heaviest of the group, so you'll be less likely to be picked up and dragged away Will: oh fine :c (turns on helmet light then leads the group into the darkness)
Taylor followed the group into the darkness, using her own pip oh as a source of light as they made their way deeper into the building. Sounds of fighting was occurring in the back rooms alongside Freddys high pitched screaming. Damien didn't make a single sigh of sound, not even once, leading the others to think for the worst .
(I hope you didn't mind me putting Damien in this situation) Will: it sure is dark in here. you'd figure this stage area'd be near some windows so they didn't have to light it in the day Jenny: I don't really think they had that in mind Will (Feddy's laugh is heard in the distance) Will: (whimpers) ;-;
(Not at all, helps advance the story some more ) The group stumbled upon bits of scrap metal, before eventually finding larger and larger bits. Eventually, they found an entire robotic arm inside of a brown suit. Freddy's left arm. "Well, at least we know we are heading in the right direction." Taylor said before Freddy, with Damien stuck between his arms, ran towards one of the suits, The ginger haired man, covered in cuts and having a part of his sunglasses broken, suddenly shifted his weight as he flipped behind him and suddenly using all of his incredible strength, lifted Freddy into the air and threw him downward into the suit. Freddy screamed in agony while Damien pushed him further and further into the suit, not very pleased about what was happening. "Let's see how you like it!" Hurts doesn't it?" Damien told Freddy as his legs violently dangled out of the suits mouth. Backing up for a moment, he took our his Ranger Sequoia and shot an exposed power cell, which ripped through the suit, of the crushed robot which metallic skeleton was ripping Freddy, fur suit and all, to shreds. The power cell sparked for a second before suddenly catching on fire, setting the suit ablaze with Freddy trapped inside.
Jenny: you sure showed him Damien John: (puts some gecko meat on the end of a long iron bar then dangles it over the fire of freddy) better make the most of a good situation. Will: well now that that's over... (time skip to the next morning cause I'm not sure what to do next XD)
(Yeah) The morning came and the group of wastelanders were outside of the restaurant. A vibe of negativity and evil seemed to swirl around that place, so not long after they stripped it of anything of use, Damien burnt the place to the ground. They all had breakfast together while the building burnt to the ground behind them, Damien being surprisingly casual about it. Taylor felt similar, but didn't like the idea of the Legion finding them.
After finishing their breakfast, the group set out into the mojave once more. (Do you mind where we take us or what happens?)
(Why not The Strip?) The group decided to head north into Vegas, often finding themselves lucky enough to avoid any Legionary attacks. Unfortunately, they were still targeted. The group suffered attacks from six groups of Legion assassins along the way, all of them quickly being dealt with. Damien was who he said he was, the most wanted man in the Legion. He was thinking of something. Something stupid. But this still had to be done, for the betterment of all mankind.
(wait, they were lucky to avoid legion attacks yet got attacked 6 times by legion assassins? XD. Also that's a great idea! but first a trip to freeside c The six made their way through the gates of freeside. Abbey decided to check the van graff's store to see what was what, Jenny stayed at the old mormon fort to do some trading with the followers and Will hulked into Mick n' Ralph's pawn shop to stock up on ammo. This left John alone with Damien and Taylor, he saw this as an opportune time to get himself absolutely p*** drunk. The others wouldn't have wanted him like that but when it came to the others he didn't much care for them or their opinion of him and saw them more as protection than companions.
(Must have been half asleep when I wrote that. Oh well, you get the idea) Damien, Taylor and John found themselves in the Atomic Wangler with plenty of caps to spare. While John was getting himself smashed, Damien didn't drink anything at all. Taylor assumed that her brother was doing this in order to maintain his seemingly perfect physical condition. Taylor only ordered some warm Brahmin milk while John was essentially smashing down drinks. While Taylor did warn him, Damien couldn't wipe the smile on his face when he pictured the man next to him hitting the ground in a drunken mess, unable to get up.
(absolutely! ) He cared little for what Taylor tried to say to him. He kept necking down the scotch and whiskey regardless of any ill health it was causing him. You see, mercs had taken his daughter back on the east coast a few years years ago and he blamed himself for not being able to do anything about it. He's since been looking for her following any lead he could. However he's starting to lose motivation and has turned to drinking to combat his loss of morale.
Taylor kept drinking Brahmin milk when she turned around to see a bar brawl from across the other end of the bar. Punches and glass bottles were being thrown at each other until the guards broke it up relatively quickly. One stray bottle that was thrown headed across the room towards Damien, where Taylor was going to alert him about what's happening. Damien caught the bottle behind him without ever losing contact from his glass of water in one hand, shocking everyone inside of the bar. The former Ranger then spun the bottle around his fingers until he placed it upright on the stool.
As much as John would've been impressed by it (i know I was!), he was too drunk to have noticed anything. Then again, he wasn't a stranger to bar fights or fighting in general. (female voice): fine, I'll get my drinks from somewhere else! Bas****s! John woke up a little to the sound of the woman's voice as it sounded like the voice of his daughter. Even though he may have been hallucinating from being so blind drunk, he tried getting up to take a look only to fall flat on his face and pass out. (hey, when do you think the next nuka break is gonna be?) (also I love your profile pic of sunset shimmer! :3)
(Thank you! She's kinda of my favorite pony now,but anyway. I'm sure Nuka Break just finished Season 2, so I'd assume that Season 3 would be sometime next year, which when you think about it, isn't really that far away.) The next time that John would have woken up, he would have found himself on an old mattress in Freeside. Taylor spent her time with him, using her medical knowledge to tend to John whenever needed while Damien just stood at an empty door-frame almost as a guard.
(I can't wait!! While John was being taken care of, Jenny, Abbey and Will were approaching the place where John was being treated. Jenny: hey guys What's occurrin'? Will: (sees John in the state he's in) oh great. Looks like he got himself smashed. AGAIN. What is this the 7th or 8th time since we've known him? Abbey: ughhh -_-
Damien remained quiet while he stood in the doorway. He didn't like Freeside at all, especially since it was the place where he met her about five years ago. While he knew that it was not the safest place in Vegas, especially considering that it was a slum, some good and honest people lived inside the area. He didn't want to think about what he considered the happiest moment of his life, his hands were dirty enough as they were already.
(who's "her"?) John: uuugh... What the hell? Will: you got drunk, John. Again! Jenny: you aren't going to find your daughter by drinking yourself to death silly. c: Abbey: Damien. do you and Taylor mind if we just leave him here? I'm getting really sick and tired of his shi- (gets cut off by jenny) Jenny: oh c'mon, we can't just leave him here. Will: as much as I don't like him, Jenny does have a point. Guess I'll have to carry him... (goes to pick up John) again. (picks up John) Jenny: If it helps we can see if we can leave him with the followers
(You'll see ) "He might be drunk, but I'm afraid that Jenny has a point. We can't leave him alone, don't you think Damien?" Taylor responded as she looked at Damien, the older man remaining dead silent as he remained in deep thought. He then snapped out of it before looking at the group behind him about a second and a half later. "Sorry...I'm kinda out of it at the moment." Damien responded, not mentioning what has happened five years ago. "You were saying something about taking him to the Followers?"
Abbey: yep. After all, we've got places to go and sights to see right? Will: And I don't wanna be carrying him around on the strip Jenny: Also it'd be a bit rude to have a guy go to the strip already drunk.
