"Of course, there are many a mine which can be used as a way of gaining soldiers and freeing slaves." He knelt down in front of Nissa "May I ask why you hesitate and say Cry before correcting yourself."
Nissa's eyes filled with a mixture of emotions, "Nexis' s real name is Cryodil. She is my older sister. The council of guardians deemed her unfit to rule, so she retaliated and in her anger has done everything up to now." Nissa sighed and smiled at Thangerdaer. She knelt down to Thangerdaer's level, "she wanted you to marry her, you would have been my brother-in-law."
"I guess that would be true. Though you can skip the formalities and just call me Thangur." He turned to the other woman "Who might you be?"
Thalia looked at the girl with polite interest, then raised her hand, inspecting it. "Yes, I suppose that is the best thing to call it. Some people would rather call it 'abominable', and 'horrifying'."
Nissa understood how it it felt for others to call your magic those words. "I think its brilliant." Nissa smiled at Thalia.
"As the human saying goes you have to fight fire with fire. So Someone with the knowledge of shadow manipulation and control is a valuable asset to any team against Cryodil." Thangur gave a smile as he shook Thalia's hand. "I feel we should head off now. Create a plan."
"Excellent idea. My camp is by a big Mongolia tree. We should discuss how we should end Cryodil's reign." Nissa started walking into the forest once more.
Walking alone, I couldn't bear this failed mission, but everyone gets a bad taste in their mouth everyone in a while. I was pissed, not only that, I could have killed that group back there if it weren't for TriPoint, what did he want? I had no clue, but who ever this "Nexis" is I want her to be my new target, no one stops me from a mission and gets away with it. I am arrogant and foolish, but at the same time I can be smart and swift with what I am doing. I looked up to the night sky, looking at the moon. My eye color quickly changed, what to do what to do I wandered.
Thangur followed swiftly after Nissa. Until they arrived at her camp. "Nice basecamp, though I'm surprised you haven't got a nice place in the free lands. If you do, I feel thats probably a safer place."
The camp was made of a few tents with men (elves). Some men were in silver and emerald armor and some were brown leather. One flag/banner that was blue with the royal crest stood by Nissa's strategy tent. "This was put to a vote between them. They are young and eager to please me and do well in battle." Nissa explained. A tall older elf with a scar strode out of a tent, "My Lady! Welcome back." Hey snapped to attention by placing his left arm behind his back and his right fist on his heart. By doing this, the other elves in armor did the same and the leather clad merely bowed their heads and saluted.
Iriko sat in a tree and looked to the sky, trying to relax as much as possible. He grabbed down an apple and began to eat, he closed his eyes after he was done, allowing the darkness to fill his tired eyes.
"I must say they are incredibly loyal, however what experience do they have fighting real battles, any ex soldiers or mercenaries or just loyal up to it elves."
The older scarred elf responded, "Forgive me stranger, I am Janos, I have fought in battles before your father was even born. As for the rest of the men, there are 5 in armor and two are considered amateurs by elven standards. There are 4 archers in leather, and none of them are inexperienced. If you wish to train or practice. We will oblige, if that is the wish of the princess."
"Good, if we're going to do mine or slave camp raids, we're going to need to be at our best, So constant training will probably be a necessity. Do you think you're up to the task of training the amateurs and those free slaves who decide to join the fight." He extended a hand for a shake of agreement.
Iriko walked through the forest for a bit, sighing in relief that he wasn't attacked. Seeing a plain field up ahead, he needed a place to sleep besides trees. He walked over, and in the plain was nothing but grass that came up to the ankle, this was perfect. He laid down, and closed his, he was comfortable now, hopefully his sleep would not be interrupted.
Janos gladly clasped Thangur's hand, "when you are ready, we shall begin, Lord...?" Nissa was growing interested in the upcoming training. She wanted to prove to everyone that she was not some helpless little child that needed constant supervision. "Apologies for butting in, Janos forgot to mention Aermia. She is a mage and not counted as a warrior to Janos. Speaking of which, I need to see her and must depart. Lusylith shall fetch a tent for you." Nissa then walks off leaving Thangurdaer with Janos.
"Thangurdaer, though you can simply call me Thangur, I hope there's no hard feeling if I tell you I used to be a Master Slaver at one of Nexis' biggest mines and almost Nexis' husband and co ruler. Though I've realised the error of my ways and hope I can prove useful thanks to my knowledge of many slave mines and camp layouts/locations."
Thalia looked into the camp warily. She had not been surrounded by this many people since... since... A memory flashed through Thalia's mind: A policewoman, getting closer, and closer; a woman's limp body on the staircase; a train. Thalia returned to reality, breathing a little heavier. She had to leave. She had to get out, at least for a while.
